3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear orange beer with nice head which leaves pretty lacing behind. Aroma has sweet fruits, grapefruit and pines. Caramel malts dominate. Taste is quite sweet with caramel malts, then hits the pines and grapefruit hop bitterness. Medium body and medium carbonation.

Great Divide brews Titan IPA for hop disciples -- independent beer drinkers seeking out robust, flavorful beers characterized by their abundance of hops, flavor, aroma and bitterness. As a big aggressively-hopped India Pale Ale, Titan IPA fills this bill -- beginning with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishing with a rich, malty sweetness that is carefully balanced with crisp hop bitterness. 65 International Bittering Units (IBUs). 2003-2009 vintages 6.8% abv 2010 vintage 7.1% abv

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
3.5/5 appearance, nice light brown color with foamy head and lacing. Smell is floral, fragrant.. perfectly balanced hop/malt aroma. Goes down super smooth for 7.1% IPA.. just a hint of hop bitter. Taste some piney hops and some smokey malts.. nothing extraordinary there, but a great beer overall.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
From a variety 12-pack, this is the star. Plenty of hop bitterness for a standard IPA; you really sense it at the end. Before that, there is a balance of sweet malt and warm hop flavors - American citrus. Nearly DIPA flavors in an IPA, but you won’t like it if you can’t take the bitterness at the end.

Lingering finish which I like, just might make it a better beer to eat with a nice meal versus drinking by itself.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured out Amber. 14°SRM.
Nose is sweet, beery and malty. Overripe fruit. Early fermenting grain. Light berry aroma.
Mouthfeel is soapy. Palate has deeply toasted malt. Hops are middling in flavor and intensity.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Keg BD Shepherds Bush . Pours light tan/giold with full creamy head. Aroma of bread, hint of chocolate strangely, warm wood. Smells comfy if that’s not too weird. Taste is full and very complex: beautiful balance of bitterness, sweetness, dry finish, slightly tart. All sorts of shit going on, fruit, white chocolate, herbs, malt and loads of hops. Lovely. A great big hug of a beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can poured into pint glass with blonderedhead. This one is pretty clear with hues of gold and orange. Half finger initially of white head that is quick to dissipate. Aroma isn’t overwhelming but has standard pine, a light citrus quality, and a hint of caramel. Taste has a soft mouthfeel at the onset with the malty and caramel backbone taking center stage. It gives way to a hoppy finish with a decent bitterness. There are characteristics of orange and pine resin present as well. I would put this more towards the malty end of the IPA spectrum and that’s a trait that appeals directly to me. Add this to the stable of IPAs worthy of keeping stocked for go-to consumption.
