Great Divide brews Titan IPA for hop disciples -- independent beer drinkers seeking out robust, flavorful beers characterized by their abundance of hops, flavor, aroma and bitterness. As a big aggressively-hopped India Pale Ale, Titan IPA fills this bill -- beginning with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishing with a rich, malty sweetness that is carefully balanced with crisp hop bitterness. 65 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Ipa molto interessante, con una luppolatura potente e un amaro lungo e duraturo. Note agrumate, fruttate e buona interazione con i malti, che risaltano con una leggera sfumatura terrosa senza coprire un accenno quasi citrico. Davvero buona!

Bottle. Quite a right on IPA, it didnít really stand out too much for me, but that is quite hard now with the amount of IPAís. Nice resin and earthy aroma, and had a good amount of pine, more than citrus. A good backing of malt too. All and all a good IPA, would definitely try again.

Aroma: intense fruity hops, some resin. Appearance: dark clear gold, medium frothy white head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: soft sweets intensify, caramel malts, light dryness in the background, getting quite bitter towards the long finish. Overall: fantastic IPA, excellent palate and aroma. Bottle from BottleDog Kings Cross, Holborn.

355ml Bottle from the Brewdog Online Shop (£3.50):
More malty than I was expecting with some sweetness & touches of caramel but these are balanced against some pleasantly bitter hops, namely citrus and floral ones. Some background fruits including some orange and some biscuit feature as well.
Copper tinged amber with a 1.5cm, foamy white head that reduces to about half that then holds. Itís very clear with some bubbles rising as well.
Sweet malts, bread & caramel but with the hops from the nose taking more of a front seat. Itís quite hop-filled with citrus & floral flavors & some grapefruit. Some pine, toasted malts & further fruits such as orange and mango round things off.
Smooth & bitter with a nice sweetness from the caramel & a wonderful balance from the start. There was moderate carbonation & the alcohol was well hidden throughout, working well with the medium body & citrus tang towards the end.

I was expecting a lot from this one and thankfully it didnít disappoint at all, going down exceptionally well with a great taste and balance throughout. Titan IPA was another fantastic beer from Great Divide and one that I would rate above their Hercules Double IPA, mainly down to the fact that it was so much easier to drink thanks to the lower abv.

Pours dark copper with a white head. Tastes like a farmhouse ale. This does not taste like an IPA...to me, itís Sunday like a dunkel.

Draught @ Taphouse. Pours dark copper with a small beige head. Aroma is very malty, toffee, bread, pepper, citrus, earthy and herbs. Taste is moderate sweet and light+ bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily/sticky, carbonation is soft. Finishes robust and sweet with toffee and rough bitterness.

355 ml bottle @ Black Sheep Arms, Visby
Hazy orange beer with little white head leaving lacing. Aroma is mild but has caramel, resin, pine, tropical fruits and crisp apricot jam. Flavor is mostly bitterly resinous and caramelly sweet with apricot lying underneath. Palate is medium full with quite light carbonation and stinging bitterness. Finishes with a quite long but not very intense bitterness, leaving a caramelly sweet and resinous aftertaste. Very resinous, not refreshing at all. The BBE was half a year ahead but still it tasted like yesteryearís American IPAís.

Nice citrusy notes in the nose. Moderately bitter hoppiness. Flavor is more nutty that grape fruity. Definitely a good blend of hops that has an interesting taste that leaves you wanting another. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
