COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great Divide brews Titan IPA for hop disciples -- independent beer drinkers seeking out robust, flavorful beers characterized by their abundance of hops, flavor, aroma and bitterness. As a big aggressively-hopped India Pale Ale, Titan IPA fills this bill -- beginning with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishing with a rich, malty sweetness that is carefully balanced with crisp hop bitterness. 65 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Light amber body with foamy head and some lacing. Malty nutty and some hoppy bitterness though not crazy bitter. Juicy citrus fruits. Nice ipa. This was the IPA that allowed me to remedy the embarrassing statistic of having rated more pale lagers than any other beer style. Thank you, Great Divide Titan IPA.

Bottle. Pours murky orange with thin white head that lingers. Hop aroma over mild carbonation. Reasonably complex hop-grapefruit flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a bottle into my favorite pint glass. This is a foamy glass of deliciousness! It was like an IPA root beer float. It is spicy, hoppy, yet easy drinking (not to mention 7.1%). This would be the reason I would attempt to make my own beer, but since I found "the one" I can now focus my energy on other things, and just go to the store and buy this. Great job!

Pours Amber were/copper, earthy and grassy on the nose. Highly hippy, huge bitterness and a long finish, while good a wee touch one note but good.

This beer pours a slightly hazy orange color with a large white head, and the aroma blends citrus, spruce, and resin hop scents with a hint of diacetyl while not being overwhelming on the nose. The taste is quite bitter but slightly sour and a touch umami as well, which help to balance out the beer’s general flavor. Furthermore, the full body and bitter finish really help pack a punch, and the sticky texture and soft carbonation also help emphasize the entire hop experience with this beer.

bottled: 2/16/11 A: Pours a ruby copper ale with excellent clarity. Single finger head of tight peanut foam dissipates in a minute to two. thin, but consistently sheeting lacing. S: Pine needles, grass, soil. The hop profile here is very earthy to me. Nice movement from the citrus I have become so accustomed to of late. Caramel, munich malts come through at the back end. Maybe a hint of apricot. T: Nice, solid malty beer with a healthy bitterness and hop presence. The beer is still piney with plenty of oily resin. Good flavor. Resonates on the palate. M: Medium to heavy for the style with moderate carb. Good call. Feels heavy enough to slow me a down to an appropriate pace. O: Very good, unique take on the IPA. Stong work as usual from a very solid brewery. Serving type: bottle 04-02-2011

On tap at great divide taproom. Pours a clear amber with one finger of white head. Aroma of piney hops with a light malt undertone. Taste is piney, spicy hops with medium bitterness. Catch a bit of malt on the aftertaste. Well carbonated. Solid IPA overall, rivals a Stone IPA in my opinion.

Nice piney subtle yeasty smell. In bottle so unsure of appearance. Floral flavors come out in taste. Pretty good and not overly zealous on hops ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

They hit it on the nose with "well balanced". 12 oz bottle was enjoyable to drink. While a little too malty for me, I would recommend this to all.

Well balanced IPA with the malts giving a good body and sweet presence to show off the piny hops. Doesn't over power the taste buds but leaves them well satisfied. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
