COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great Divide brews Titan IPA for hop disciples -- independent beer drinkers seeking out robust, flavorful beers characterized by their abundance of hops, flavor, aroma and bitterness. As a big aggressively-hopped India Pale Ale, Titan IPA fills this bill -- beginning with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishing with a rich, malty sweetness that is carefully balanced with crisp hop bitterness. 65 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Bottle (brewed 12/11). Orange-amber with an off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, caramel and pine. Sweetish caramel, honey and light biscuit, solid bitterness, lingering citrus and flowers. Oily mouthfeel, modest carbonation. Dryish finish. Solid, tasty beer with pleasant balance.

Draught @ The Rover. Pours clear amber / dark golden with a frothy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving some lacing on the glass. Smell is sweet, fresh and malty with caramel, orange juice, peaches, papaya, pineapple, orange zest and hints of pine. Taste is sweet and slightly bitter with caramel, peaches, very ripe mango, pineapple, sun dried grass, plums and hints of alcohol. Mouthfeel is round, creamy and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with pine, pineapple, mango and caramel.

Pours a clear golden orange amber with a small white head that doesn’t last long. The aroma is citrus, pine, grass, and bread. The taste is very bitter with a somewhat firm malt backing and just a hint of sweetness. It finishes dry and the hop bitterness is prominent throughout. A very good IPA, it isn’t quite great. I want more hop flavor and aroma.

A fine brew split with the one and only Chipalsa. Tulip pour. This one had such a confusing nose on it. I could discern plenty of vanilla and caramel with some light pine and grass notes. Almond-like sweetness was in there too. Through the light, this one was golden in color with a white head. The overall tastes were grassy and citrusy with some caramel/vanilla notes. This one was different for an ipa but I liked it.

This fine beer was golden in the body with a nice and soapy head. It smelled like fresh bread and lemons with a slight yeasty character. The taste was more malty than expected, also followed by light spices and light citrus notes. Very drinkable and fun to sip upon.
