sstackho (249), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 9, 2007 12oz bottle from 6-pack purchased at Bauer Wines in Boston. A lazy pour on my part results in a large head which eventually goes away. Plenty of carbonation seen through the clear copper hue. Strong hop aroma. Taste is chock full of hops straight on, but not too much hops of the floral variety that I tend to enjoy. Definitely a solid choice for a hoppy IPA.
machfive55 (67), Columbia, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 13, 2008 Poured a cloudy light amber with a nice head, there were some floaties in the beer as well. The aroma was malt and hops, it was nice but would like to smell a little more hoppiness with this. The flavor comes across mostly malty, then as the beer warms turns to complete bitterness. It’s almost like they gave it aroma and bitter hops but no flavor hops. I also did not enjoy the hop profile as much maybe due to the types of hops they used. Overall it seemed pretty unbalanced like you were either getting all hop or all malt but there was no in between. I’ve had much better IPA’s and didn’t quite enjoy this one as much. wetherel (1067), Carlsbad, California, USA Oct 13, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Light amber color. Easy to drink. Hint of caramelization. Delicious. Mild hoppiness. KimJohansen (4299), Copenhagen V, Denmark Oct 11, 2008 Cloudy amber with large white fluffy head. Nice hoppy aroma with pine and caramel to compliment it. sweet flavour with good amount of hops, caramel and piney notes. Finished bitter. Good IPA. waolsen (1021), Littleton, Colorado, USA Oct 6, 2008 bottle. copper pour with thin frothy head. fresh hops. light citrus aroma. nicely balanced. fresh hops, sweet maltiness. a little oily. very solid DTM (399), Winters, California, USA Oct 2, 2008 Bottle from a trade with STFun. Poured a copper color with a huge head. The smell of hops ever present. Tasted of both pine and citrus hops. A little weak on the palate and unfortunaley doesn’t stand out from the many IPA’s available.
