COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great Divide brews Titan IPA for hop disciples -- independent beer drinkers seeking out robust, flavorful beers characterized by their abundance of hops, flavor, aroma and bitterness. As a big aggressively-hopped India Pale Ale, Titan IPA fills this bill -- beginning with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishing with a rich, malty sweetness that is carefully balanced with crisp hop bitterness. 65 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Damn good IPA. Note that this was bottled in September 2011, which makes it that much more impressive. The aroma was somewhat faint with floral and sweetness. Nice copper amber color with small head. However, the carbonation was still at a good level. Medium weight with smooth character followed by crispness. The hops were piney and some citrus and very present and balanced. This held up well and was a pleasure to drink.

355ml bottle. Haazy amber body, with particels floating around. Low white head. Starts off with pine and citrus, but becomes more malty and caramelly towards finish. Old bottle I think, as the hops felt a bit tired. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg at Brewdog Shep’s Bush. Aroma is dank tangerine orange, apricot, bit smoky. Clear bright orange reddy coloured pour with a lasting frothy white head. Flavour is composed of light grains, dank orange tangerine hop, earthy citrus, little smoky. Bit dirty. Palate is medium light some sweet honey, moderate to high carbonation. Decent IPA. Nice dank hop.

Piney. Not as a hoppy IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355 ml bottle at The Bishops Arms Gamla Stan, Stockholm.
Dark amber, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, slightly yellow head.
Aroma of pine, stone fruits, berries, biscuit, a bit vanilla.
Taste follows this and adds some tea and more smooth malts.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes medium bitter, piney, citric and also with quite long lasting, honey like malts.

Tasty! Pretty much a lighter version of their Hercules DIPA, also with a very smooth malt backbone and lovely, piney and stone fruit like hops. Great IPA, but I enjoyed the Hercules much more.

Bottled on 28/07/2014, @Pegulier Pub (NYC). dark golden to light amber color with an off-white head. nose: pine, fruity, hop, malts, taste: more fruits, hops very much present, but keeps a malty character. dry, smooth dry, and subtile bitter. nice MF. long lasting finish, sweet streak in the back. delicate. Great IPA. even for todays "standards"

I really hope I got a bad bottle cause this ain't good. Aroma of bananas leads me to believe there is some sort of contamination. Taste is off-balanced, primarily alcohol and carbonation. (Reminds me of a cheap soda pop.) Beer is a bottle rocket - flowed over three times. Just a nasty beer; as I said, hopefully, it was a bad bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
