COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great Divide brews Titan IPA for hop disciples -- independent beer drinkers seeking out robust, flavorful beers characterized by their abundance of hops, flavor, aroma and bitterness. As a big aggressively-hopped India Pale Ale, Titan IPA fills this bill -- beginning with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishing with a rich, malty sweetness that is carefully balanced with crisp hop bitterness. 65 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Had a nice citrus aroma pretty lively palate but did not enjoy the taste too much for this IPA. I do not think I will purchase this one again though.

Nice enough, but not quite right. To begin with, the texture is sort of oily which is just off-putting. Then, it doesn’t help that it’s a weird combination of sickly sweet and unpleasantly bitter. I know, a hop-heavy IPA will always be bitter but there has to be something special to balance it out. I’m being harsh, I do think this has all the elements of a very nice IPA, but the balance of nearly everything here is just not quite right.

Pours amber with a white head. Citrus, grass, pine, malt. A noticeable malt backbone but not overly malty. Nice bitter aftertaste. Well balanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JUN 1, 2013 Yeast bomb IPA. Bitter yeast makes for a nose like a medicine cabinet and a taste like ground up B vitamins.

Must have landed a bad bottle of this, purchased on sale at whole foods. It’s only a few months old, but tastes like an overcooked root vegetable. Yuck!

Hazy copper, creamy head leaves good lacing. Aroma has citrus, pine, fruity with balancing bitterness, bit roasted caramel malting under this. Flavor is crispy and refreahing, Semisweet and bitter, medium body, low carbonation, soft feel, tasty long finish gets more malty and bitter towards end. Nice one, tasty, lively and nuanced but also fresh.
