COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great Divide brews Titan IPA for hop disciples -- independent beer drinkers seeking out robust, flavorful beers characterized by their abundance of hops, flavor, aroma and bitterness. As a big aggressively-hopped India Pale Ale, Titan IPA fills this bill -- beginning with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishing with a rich, malty sweetness that is carefully balanced with crisp hop bitterness. 65 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Poured from the bottle. Nice creamy white head that holds well. Aroma is very malty with slight citrus and pine. Surprised to smell more malt than hops in this beer. Taste is very malty sweet that is well balanced in the finish, with a hint of grapefruit. Body is medium to full for the style, with creamy mouthfeel. Overall, this is one of the better IPAs I’ve had. Maltier than most but well balanced.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange color with white head. Nose is citrus, spruce, and resin. Taste is bitter but good. This beer tasted better the more it warmed up.

Bottle at Bill’s Olde Tavern. Pours relatively clear orange with half-finger of white head. Aroma is a bit of grapefruit, slightly floral. Taste is sweet malt and slightly bitter/muted hop. Nothing stands out particularly well. There is a lingering bitterness on the palate.

Bottle. A- Caramel, bready, citrus. A- Copper color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Caramel, bready, medium bitterness, citrus, malty, slightly sweet. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, smooth finish, O- Not near as abrasive as the label may lead you to believe. Very drinkable with lots of caramel and maltiness that smooths out the bitterness. With a touch of citrus, this makes for a nice IPA.

Backlog. On tap at Green Lion Inn. One of the better of the many American IPAs you come across.

Aroma of pine, citrus. Taste of pine more than anything and slight citrus that is layered on the palate.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein oranges Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, hopfig fruchtig, bitter. Geschmack intensiv fruchtig hopfig, stark malzig.

Bottle poured into glass. Pours lovely clear orange with a fat creamy head of off white foam that left sticky lace. Orange, mango and a touch of pine. Really like the taste and aroma.

A- Pours a deep, cloudy russet hue with a big, foamy, tan head. S- Dark fruit, pine resin T- Deep roasted malt notes, robust fruitiness followed by sustained piney hopiness. M- Medium to thick with ample carbonation. D- This is a very drinkable IPA. More robust and malty than I am used to for the style but a nice sipper.

Pours lovely clear orange with a fat creamy head of off white foam that left sticky lace. Nose is scrumptious with a bit of caramel and big bright fruit. Orange, mango and a touch of pine. Hops are herbal and a little dank. Taste is light caramel and plenty of fruit to include orange, mango and some wonderful tartness from grapefruit. Has a perfect balance int he flavors that is remarkable. The bitter is complimentary and does not exceed the fruit, the fruits do not overshadow the caramel. The pine is earthy and there a touch of herbal that comes forward in the finish to leave some grass with all that. The mouthfeel has a touch of weight to it but drinks essentially light and very juicy.

So well done! It just kept getting better as it moved across the palate.
