GMUcrew7 (183), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jun 15, 2008 Nice copper color with 2 fingers of lasting beige head. Nose is mostly pine hops with hints of grapefruit. Very bitter piney flavor, with nice sweet malty backbone for nice balance. Bitter and dry palate, excellent IPA.
JCastner (33), New York, USA Sep 6, 2008 Pours a light amber with a weak head. Aroma is of butter, oranges, caramel and strong pine. Medium mouth feel. Taste is an even balance of sweet maltiness and bitterness. Finish is first bitter but mellows out. Warming alcohol feeling. It’s Pleasant, but it misses that special edge. SkyinBrian (400), Collinsville, Illinois, USA Sep 6, 2008 well, I thought I was a hophead, but I found this to be a bit...unbalanced.
the hop character just seemed a bit harsh and there wasn’t enough malty goodness to back it up. yespr (6374), Copenhagen O, Denmark Sep 6, 2008 From tap at Ølbaren. Pours clear and orange with a light tan and creamy head. Dry and wet woody hops aroma. Lemonish initial flavour with a delicate hops base. Mild caramel malty flavour beneath. Mild woody and toward breadish dry malty. Light lemonish hoppy finish with a delicate bitterness into an almost fragile finish. plovmand (578), Helsinge, Denmark Sep 5, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber with a medium white head. Very fruity and floral aroma with piney hoppy notes. Very bitter and citric flavour with peachy notes. The malt is present as well. It ends up very bitter which is a bit too much. Overall its great. topcup (5), kutztown, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Aug 30, 2008 12 oz bottle. intense hops. Piney. Maybe a touch to much bitterness. This is good but i’ve had better IPA’s.
