COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great Divide brews Titan IPA for hop disciples -- independent beer drinkers seeking out robust, flavorful beers characterized by their abundance of hops, flavor, aroma and bitterness. As a big aggressively-hopped India Pale Ale, Titan IPA fills this bill -- beginning with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishing with a rich, malty sweetness that is carefully balanced with crisp hop bitterness. 65 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Pours an amber orange with medium off-white head. Aroma decent of citrus hops, pine, and slight sweet malt. Flavor a bit too bland though. Mouthfeel is very slilck and metallic. Drinkable, but nothing I would buy again unless it was this or some crappy macro.

Tap@ot. Deep amber. Orange marmelady caramels, pine, light resinous. Smooth full body. Nicely bittered, soft sweet. Caramelly malty finish. Real nice, smooth soft, drink.

Smell of hops, malt. Copper colour, white head. Aroma of metal, malt, earth. Bitter. Kind of good at all aspects, but still lacking edge. Soft and plentiful carbon.

Bottle from Ölrepublikken. Light amber. Small amount of white head. Quite bitter. Thick mouth feel. Below average carbonation. Very fruity. Grapefruit, clementine, honey, malt flavour. Good. A bit too bitter abd too malt heavy to be superb in my opinion.

On tap, poured into a sample glass. The aroma is primarily caramel and bread crust with a juicy grapefruit secondary note. It pours a crystal clear caramel color with a soft, white head that reduces down to a medium dense ring with a wispy surface coverage. There’s a low amount of dense micro bubble head. The taste is a well balanced medium bitter and sweet. The oily texture has a light-medium light body and a moderate amount of soft, fuzzy head. The flavor is toasted bread and fleshy plums with accompanying orange and pine at the finish. It’s crisp and clean with a slightly astringent, but light aftertaste.

Smells fresh. Not citrusy like I expected. Malty sweetness possibly around 8% crystal malt. Lingering bitterness without being over powering. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured 12oz bottle into Spieglau IPA glass. Gorgeous deep amber colour with thick beige foam, long-lasting with lace. Exactly my kinda IPA, with a grainbill as complex as the hops. I love when brewers are unafraid to build bready, caramelly, fruity, toffee and honey aspects into the strong malt backbone before layering on the hefty hops. Intense citrus, black currant, dried apricots, ganja-weed, pine resin, wildflowers. SUCH a delicious bitter-sweet balance. Medium body and carbonation, well-rounded mouthfeel, multi-layered aftertaste. Great alcoholic strength too. Smooth but strong, you know you’ve had a few but you’re not sloppy drunk or put to sleep. Truly well-crafted beer here.

Bottle. Clear copper orange with an off white head that lasts. Aromas of pine, grass, light orange, caramel malt, and some herbal notes. Flavor is pine resin, caramel malt, orange peel, grapefruit, and light biscuit. Medium bodied, slightly dry and bitter on the end.
