COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great Divide's mantra is that real fruit makes real beer, so Great Divide ferments Wild Raspberry Ale with hundreds of pounds of real red and black raspberries. Wild Raspberry Ale is a truly effervescent, ruby red ale that achieves the almost impossible balance between malted barley and tart raspberry fruitiness. Its naturally tart character makes Wild Raspberry the ultimate accompaniment to spicy Mexican food or on its own as a stand-alone session beer.

Pours a pale ruby reddish/brown. Aroma is big fresh berries but taste is just kind of juicy. Like Juicy Juice. No amount of tartness to really speak of. Not terrible, but nothing notable either.

On tap at Great Divide. Pours a nice red color. Nose has a good dose of berries. Flavor is full of berries and not too much else. A bit boring.

Taste is dark fruit and malt. This one is like a nice after dinner wine. Smooth and slightly sweet.

What a great way to beat the heat during this hot-as-hell summer. Not exceptional, but well worth for the fresh raspberry aroma and flavor--with a considerable malt backbone. Solid.

I love that this isn’t just a candy-flavored fruit beer. Subtle tartness blends with the raspberry sweetness and creates a complex beverage. Ruby color, a thin white head. Nice.

Tap. Clear reddish amber, minimum head, no lacing. Sweet aroma dominated by raspberry and grain. Taste is all raspberry from start to finish.

Heavy raspberry aroma. Very light beer. Sweet flavor but not too much to it. A nice lighter beer.

Pored into pint glass. Poured nice frothy head with color dark brown / copper. Raspberry ice tea is the nose. Truly fruity with heavy flavors of eating fresh raspberries. Some bitter malt there too for a good balance. Not bad!

part of a mix pack. foggy light red/pink color. aroma was pretty nice raspberry and the taste was of the kind but set off with a good balance of wheat and real beerness. Refreshing and light fruitiness.

Pours a caramel red color with a thick head if poured with gusto. Head quickly dissipates leaving only thin leftovers. The smell is off. A little sour, definite malt characters and slight mark of hay. The taste leaves little to be excited about. I couldn’t get over the awful metallic taste which i awesome was supposed to be a shot at rasberries. I first starting drinking this freezing cold. As it warms the smells become a lot more pleasant and the rasberries are very distinct, taste remains unpleasant though. I wanted to like it because the rest of Great Divides selection has really impressed me.
