2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: MAR 29, 2004 2003 bottle. Lovely light violet-magenta/pink color. VERY clear; filtered to all hell. Little head, moderately bubbly. Smells like pounds of wet, crushed raspberries. Very fresh. Flavor is light raspberry and at first it comes in a bit bitter and almost begins a crescendo, but the it dies a horrible watery death and I am left wondering. . is this beer I am drinking?? Try Bell's Raspberry instead. This needs more malt (it has none), and somehow needs to get some body, this is about as extra light as it gets. Didnt bother finishing.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Paid $1.09 for a 12-oz single.
Very nice raspberry colored brew (gee, rasperry colored for a raspberry beer?), with a nice sized, pink head.
Smells like real raspberries, rather than some sort of cheap extract they added later- top of the line in the fruit beer smells!!
Very nice light raspberry taste- not overwhelming like some fruit beers can be, but not so weak that you wonder how they can call this a fruit beer.
This is definitely a nice fruit beer- not a big fan of them myself- but this stands up higher than most I have sampled.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very attractive ruby red color with a small purplish head and lively carbonation. Aroma is mainly one dimensionally fruity, i.e. raspberries. Flavor is nicely berry with a bit of sour, but seems to lack great depth. A simple, straightforward, refreshing fruit beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Red with a purple tinge and a small white head. Raspberry aroma. Strong carbonation. Strong raspberry flavor. A little sour with some bitterness at the end. Almost punchlike.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bright neon magenta body with dark floating particulates, an effervescent body, and soft silky head. Mild raspberry aroma. Sour bite with a mild raspberry flavor. Not much else. Surprisingly mild all around. So subdued that there's not much to recommend here. I drank half, became bored, and mixed the second half with Anderson Valley Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout. Now that produced an intriguing and enjoyable beverage.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(draught) Great deep-red, nearly purple colour; little pinkish head. Raspberry jam nose, quite concentrated but not overpowering. Taste of raspberries and (pale) malts - as raspberry jam on white bread. Sweet in the finish but not sticky or cloying. Medium bodied. Good, interesting but not really great.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I picked this up on a business trip to Longmont, Colorado last week.
Appearance: It is dark red in color w/ a white head that is tinged pink
Aroma: A slight whiff of raspberries is detectable once this puppy warms a bit.b
Flavor: You definitely can't drink this brew straight from the fridge. The raspberry flavors are completely absent if you do. Let it sit for 10 minutes or so & you get some raspberry flavor

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Ho hum. Looked good a sort of ruddy raspberry -- I mean the color wasn't great and so I was expecting some aroma and flavor. There really wasn't much fruit aroma nor flavor. not much in the malt to complement anything either. They might have dovetailed with some malt sweetness?

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Notes from a trip to Colorado and Wyoming - May 2002 Purchased in Jackson Hole, WY.
Color is a really nice deep red like that of raspberry or strawberry, very bright, with a nice foamy head that had a pinkish hue. Smells of raspberry of course and has some malt in the background. Taste is more of the same, slammin huge amount of really nice raspberries and is coated in with a caramel malt backing thats a nice candy smooth sweetness. Feels like raspberry juice with a kick, very tart and sweet of raspberry. Again, another drinkable raspberry flavored delight that would go well with light lunches or appetizes.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: NOV 17, 2008 A very well-done fruit beer. Pleasantly surprised.
Murky cherry juice color with a mid-sized, frothy pinkish/purple head (gotta love that). No lacing.
Buttermilk and raspberries in the nose. A touch yeasty as well.
The flavor was the real kicker. Although, a bit thin (as expected), I really enjoyed the ’’’’almost, but not quite a flanders red’’’’ flavor. Very acetic and fruity up front. Perfectly balanced and tart.
Light-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation.
Very short, bone dry finish.
Much better than I expected and probably underrated. Worth a try!
