COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great Divide's mantra is that real fruit makes real beer, so Great Divide ferments Wild Raspberry Ale with hundreds of pounds of real red and black raspberries. Wild Raspberry Ale is a truly effervescent, ruby red ale that achieves the almost impossible balance between malted barley and tart raspberry fruitiness. Its naturally tart character makes Wild Raspberry the ultimate accompaniment to spicy Mexican food or on its own as a stand-alone session beer.

Reddish body with a thin white head with a reddish tint to it. Candy raspberry aroma with little else. Thin watery taste. The raspberry is there but only after a big hit of unpleasant bitterness. The more I drink this, the more it reinds me of medicine.

Dark ruby red with thin white head. Dark fruit aroma. Raspberry obvious. Good carbonation. Decent raspberry flavor. Finishes somewhat bitter, soapy. Bottled 10.3.12.

Vignale (1399) - Malmö, SWEDEN - JAN 16, 2013
Bottle from barley wine cph. Clear raspberry scent, but less in the taste than expected. But that is probably to it´s advantage a the maltstructure is pretty regular for a pale ale and not a lambic one. Really drinkable.

There is more aroma than flavor. Trying to get a a strong raspberry flavor we would be difficult. Not much of a finish but a good fruit beer overall.

Pours a reddish brown with no head. Aroma of malt, alcohol and raspberries. Taste is raspberries, kinda artificial. Astringent and alcohol. Not bad but not great ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ruby colored and clear, one finger slightly pink head and ok lacing. Aroma is raspberries, malts (biscuit, bready), a little toffy. Flavor is fruity, dryly so, with a crisp, clean raspberry flavor that compliments the maltiness but doesn’t overpower. Hop bitterness is minimal. Easy to drink, light, with a dry finish. It’s quite tasty, an easy drinker good for an outdoor afternoon.

Bottle poured a crystal clear amber w/ a ruby tint and small white quickly diminishing head. Light aroma of berries. Initial flavor is light acidic w/ a light sour finish. Taste is fruity berries and light bread. While the flavor is pleasant it is not a complex beer, light easy drinker. Watery to dry in texture and lively carbonation.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into stemmed tulip glass. Aroma is malty with a slight raspberry hint. Color I a very dark amber. Flavors of malt and tart raspberry. A very dry finish. I normally prefer a little more sweetness in fruit beers. High carbonation sort of mask the flavors. Ok, after warming up and losing some carbonation, this is tasting better. The bitter dry finish is either going away or I'm getting used to it. Would definitely drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured into a tullip shaped glass from a 12 ounce bottle. Pours a nice amber color that has a sparkling head to it. Aroma is clean and crips of raspberries and some sourness. Flavor seems light overall. You can taste the raspberries and some sourness. However it is very carbonated and that takes away from it.

Draft at source. Deep amber with a splash of red/pink. Aroma is a nice tart background raspberry with some wheat malt. Flavor falls off with a bitter raspberry and water-soaked wheat malt. Quite dry with a bitter raspberry finish.
