COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great Divide’s Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti’s hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Aromas of dark roasty malts, sugar, caramel, coffee, nuts, toast, bread and dark fruits with a slight citrusy/piny hoppyness. Thick mouthfeel with a low carbonation. Flavors of dark 70% chocolate, dark fruits, caramel, licorice, roasted barley, marzipan?... So much flavor! The hops end it all with a slight dry bitterness that balances the sweetness perfectly with a slight citrus/piny flavor! You definately feel the alcohol, but the flavors and aromas are so well balanced that it’s still a GREAT beer.

0.355 l bottle from ’Bottle Shop Eindhoven’, bottled in February 2016. Pitch black with a medium large, very creamy, stable, dark brown head. Sweetish-malty, roasty and a little fruity aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, some tropical fruits and a bit of pine. Sweet, malty, rather roasty and also quite fruity taste of dark chocolate, hard roasted coffee, licorice, praline, tropical fruits and a bit of pine, followed by a rather long, roasty-bitter, slightly resiny finish. Full body, very creamy and sticky mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Great intensity, unexpectedly hoppy, superb mouthfeel. Really good!

I bought this bottle in the drink of the world, Lucene. I drank it relax in Bonfol. The body is perfect, strong dark body and consistent brown foam. The taste is good, roasted malt, coffee, hop and coffee and bitterness staying in the throat. It is a powerful beer, there is a side of licor, lack of vanilla but it is a good one!!!!!

0.355l bottle. Pitch black body, brown head. Huge chocolate notes in the aroma with caramel, coffee, juniper (gin) with spicy and floral hops. Taste of chocolate, caramel, sour cherry, coffee and grassy hops. Thick and creamy. Great imperial stout.

On tap. I’ve heard all the rumors, so it was time to try the real thing. Right away I was blown away by the mouthfeel -- it’s slick, smooth, and full. However, there was a tangy, fruity taste that seemed out of place. The more I drank, the more I honed in what the off-flavor was: cherry cough syrup. There was a distinct tart cherry flavor that, when it was combined with the booze, just made the whole thing taste like Robitussin. Promising beer, but held back by that off flavor.

Quite huge brew. Mild cocoa, coffee, coffee beans on nose, more distinct in taste, decent roasted malt profile, coffee again, somewhat bit harsh, but very well balanced. Quite awesome

Pours a dark matte black with a lovely chocolate head. The aroma is a coffee with dark chocolate. Taste has the properties of dark chocolate.

Bottle from beer club. Wow, tons of espresso aroma and taste along with roasted malts and smoke. Poured dark black with medium dark brown head. A little heavy on the IBUs for me, but not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from The Beerhive. Black body with a medium head. Good lacing. Aroma of espresso, hazelnut and Marmite. Flavour of rust, coffee, chocolate and cocoa powder. Medium to full body with a gloopy, chewy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Quite bitter for an Imperial IPA. A quality beer.
