Great Divide’s Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti’s hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Deep black solid liquid almost oily apperance, with a redish tone. Compact gingerbread head that vanishes quickly and leaves a thin coating. A smell of chocolate, snuff and burnt. The bitterness is distinctive bitterness that squeezes the tounge - not curling it. The Yeti is heavy, abit too heavy for my taste, soft, very little carbination, long taste. I dont feel any hint of alcohol, burnt, a bit smokey. A very powerful beer with alot of everyhing ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cant believe I’d not rated this juan ! Picked up at Systembolaget Malmo and chuged on the train back to CPH, 21/08/15. Black with a decent dirty tan head that retains well. Nose is rich roast, chocolate, spice, bitter fruit, charring notes, burnt toffee. Taste comprises chocolate, spice, toffee, chocolate biscuit. Full bodied, fine carbonation, light boost in a warming close. Decent impy but another of the old guard that I don’t feel warrants the 4+ score in this day and age.

Flaska. Skön go doft av choklad , läder och nötter. Smaken bra balanserad där choklad möts med lite rostade toner med nöt känsla. En fin öl att sitta och långsamt sippa på då man löser världsproblem!

Large nougat colored and creamy foam is the perfect approach to one of the highly acclaimed beers from the award winning brewery Great Divide. Flowered hop, hard toasted and roasted malt, caramel and coffee are the main themes of the flavoring. In the taste unite these flavors in a warm and very elegant stout. Its little burnt character gives a light smoky sensation with caramel and coffee fills the mouth with delicate taste. It is soft and tasty and reminiscent in many ways of a stout that has been barrel aged, but it’s just not the case with this. Towards the end explodes a cluster bomb of hops in the mouth, and personally, I really like hoppy stouts, although it abstracts a bit from the type of accuracy. It is certainly one of the world’s best stout.

Super heavy; dark roast coffee, molasses, chocolate. A touch too sweet but overall excellent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark, with thin tan lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate. Taste is more hoppy than most imperial stouts.

From a 355ml bottle on 7/8/2015. Pours pitch black with a tiny deep brown head. It features a chocolatey nose, with some caramel and a bit of roasted malt, but it’s not super intense. Itis however very intense in the mouth - again lots of chocolate (dark and milk), some coffee, caramel, lots of burnt and roasty malt, and licorice. What makes it different from most impys is that it is really, really hoppy. There’s lots of pine, resin and some grapefruit in the mix, making this present as much like an imperial black IPA as a stout. The texture is creamy and the carbonation soft. An absolutely delicious treat for hop heads.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Dark with coffee brown head. Mild ( in a good way) nose of coffee, grapes, smoke. Bitter, slightly sweet and smoky. Coffee with a mild alcohol flavour. Light body with a wide, light palate and a long after taste of char, flowery hops and alcohol.

355ml bottle from Systembolaget. Black with a tan, big, creamy head that stays long and leaves a lot of lacing. Coffee aroma, roasted malt, roasted coffee beans, espresso, oak, hops. Mildly carbonated, creamy mouthfeel, full body. The taste is deep and complex, espresso beans, coffee, caramel, liquorice, toffee, marshmallow. Finish creamy sweet with a mild, milk chocolate bitterness.

Choklad, kaffe, rostat, russin och sötma i doften. Dito I smaken men mer beska och en sametslen känsla. En av de bättre "vardags" stouten
