COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great Divide’s Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti’s hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Deep black solid liquid almost oily apperance, with a redish tone. Compact gingerbread head that vanishes quickly and leaves a thin coating. A smell of chocolate, snuff and burnt. The bitterness is distinctive bitterness that squeezes the tounge - not curling it. The Yeti is heavy, abit too heavy for my taste, soft, very little carbination, long taste. I dont feel any hint of alcohol, burnt, a bit smokey. A very powerful beer with alot of everyhing ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Such a great beer. Extreme dark chocolate, espresso coffee, caramel and raisin with the booze adding a bit of warmth. Would love to try this at the source.

Tap@Fermentoren, Copenhagen (4/4/2015) - black pour with tan head. Roasted malty aroma and taste, some burnt notes, some milk chocolate, caramel, coffee, light vanilla, great stuff.

Bottle dated February 25, 2015. This was poured into a snifter. The appearance was a jet black color and it pours like motor oil. A thin tan quarter finger head dissipated practically immediately. Stringy lacing clings nicely around the glass. The smell took a light pine from the hops and allowed a nice gracing of roasted coffee and an ample amount of milk chocolate. The taste had a nice bitterness between the coffee bean and the piney hops. The milk chocolate balances to bring out a nice sweetness. A lingering sweet to roasty milk chocolate aftertaste starts and feeds into the finish. On the palate, this one sits about a light to medium on the body with a great sipping quality to it. The carbonation sits good for the style and for me. Bitter piney and roastiness rolls over my palate in a sticky sort of glazing. Overall, definitely a good Double Stout that I would have again. Nice to finally have the horse before the cart, about time.

330 ml bottle. Inc black color with small brown head. Aroma with lots of chocolate, pine and coffee. Malty, quite dry, well balanced flavour. Surprisingly long aftertaste.

Pours pitch black with a voluminous, frothy, brown head that stays long. Copious lacing. Nose is huge malt with bold coffee and chocolate notes. Taste is bitter dark chocolate up front, trailing off to a slightly burnt toffee. Full body, playful carbonation. This is a tasty beast that stout lovers will enjoy.

12 oz bottle into a tulip glass, pour’s thick and black with a nice brown head, lotsa lacing on the glass. The toasty aroma was noticeable upfront. Flavors of coffee, caramel, cocoa. This is a huge beer, full bodied, thick and chewy without a lot carbonation. This thing lasts! I will hope to find a BA version of this somewhere down the road. Until that happens, I will be hard pressed to find something better. WOW!

(Great Divide Yeti Imperial Stout) 650ml bomber at home, served into a snifter, ABV 9.5% 2012 vintage. Black as tar colour on the body, small dark brown head, thick and creamy, with good retention, leaving medium lacing on the glass. Strong aroma that I can smell while my glass is sitting next to me. Vanilla, light alcohol, chocolate, cake, toasted malts. Great taste, sweet. Same as the aroma, vanilla, chocolate cake, the alcohol not so notable here, toffee, light caramel, some hops even, roasted malts on the finish, coal. Medium thick body, good carbonation. Very good, even better when it warmed up a bit.

One of my favorite smelling beers to date! Bourbon, dark chocolate, vanilla, wood, prune, Bold coffee. Pours like oil or molasses with a thick 2.5 finger, caramel head. Dry dark Chocolate on first sip with hints of Bourbon and burnt caramel. Dry, almost creamy finish. Booziness comes out as it warms. Incredible flavor depth and profiles. One could almost find any flavor of there in this beer.
