4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
(Bottle 6 fl.oz.) One of the greatest stouts Iíve ever tasted. Powerfull bitter notes from the hops, and sweet delecious notes of chocolate and caramel/coffee. Pours completely black, with a nice lasting off-white head. Itís definately not the last time Iíve tasted this great beer!

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
22 oz. bottle. Pours out like motor oil - thick, brownish-black, viscous - with a medium tan head that clings nicely to the glass. The aroma wafted up with a strong roasted malt and chocolate tone with some coffee and caramel notes. The flavor is just massive roasted malt in the beginning with some milk chocolate sweetness, coffee and smoke undertones and then finishes with a very interesting hoppy flavor. I had a hard time beliving this came out of a bottle because it was so smooth and rich as if it came out on a nitrogen tap. Itís an extremely complex beer, and the awesome flavor hides itís high alcohol content very well. Just about as good a beer that I have had thus far.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Black beer with a dark tan one finger head. No lace. Looks big.
Smells sweet, caramel and licorice, with some roast.
Great taste. Earthy and roasty more than sweet. The roast increases as it warms. Not overly roasty. In fact, itís balanced well with the sweet aroma. Creamy feel with a big stout flavor. Coffee and dark toasted grain. Doesnít become dry from the roastiness.
A very good, big stout. Complex and a pleasure to drink. A sipper.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
A superblack coloured beer with an excelent brown, creamy head that mostly diminishing. The aroma is roasted with notes of caramel, coffee, chocolate, earth, smoke, tobacco and vanilla, too. Itís very complex. The initial flavor is light sweet but the finish is heavy bitter. There are notes of dried fruits, american hops and dark chocolate. Itís so good! The texture is oily and it has a full body. Excellent!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Served on draft in a frozen goblet. Initial impression, Mellow Mushroom needs to learn how to serve beer instead of freezing it. After warming, plenty of roast but all hidden behind a gorgeous chocolaty flavor.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Exactly as in the description. Old Rasputin is better. But a solid brew nonetheless.
