COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great Divide’s Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti’s hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Pours solid black with a two finger dark tan head that looks loosely bubbled from the side but very thick from the top. Taste of the foam is strong with roasted malt. Mouthfeel is thick and smooth with a lingering pleasant bitter aftertaste. Main tasting notes are caramel, burnt marshmallow and hints of coffee. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Although I prefer more chocolatey/milky stouts to coffee ones, this is an ideal imperial stout nonetheless! Perfectly viscous, thick, oily liquid that is jet black with a great thick brown foamy head. Taste is extremely rich and creamy. Coffee, toffee, roasted caramel throughout. Sweet. Excellent brew!

God øl fin mørkk farge, lukter friskt og godt. Skummet holder seg lenge på topp. Klarte ikke helt å beskrive smaken, men veldig god.

Black with brown head. Aroma is hops and chocolate. Flavor american hops, chocolate, coffee and rostes malts. Full body with creamy texture. Slight bitter finish. A little bit lower IBU and this one would be excellent.

355ml bottle from BrewDog Cardiff. @home 21-09-2014.
Bottled: March 2014.
In short: robust bitter Imp. Stout.
Had it several times some years ago but not rated till i found the bottle @BrewDog Cardiff.
Pours black with nice quite tan creamy head. Moderate to short head retention, some lacing. Roasty, chocolate, coffee, nut and some creamy sweet aromas. Full bodied, soft carbonation, viscous texture. Viscous mouthfell, moderate bitterness, coffee and chocolate flavours, some spicy ones, ends some dry after a while. Very enjoyable. Lovely one.

BOD 6/17/14. Pours dark as a starless night. Very good head with exceptional lacing and very good retention. Rich nose of dark chocolate, very little roast character, over a nice citrus hop background with only a hint of coffee. As it warms, light vanilla notes are noticed. Rich full body with a creamy texture. Below normal carbonation with no effervescence on the finish. The flavor profile is complex, but the alcohol is not well hidden. It begins with rich dark chocolate that flows into notes of coffee coupled with vanilla over a rich malt sweetness. Roast is noted in the middle over a citric hop flavor and mild bitterness. The smooth finish is dominated by alcohol and leaves a warm back of throat burn and a burnt sugar lingering aftertaste. Dial the alcohol back a bit and this one becomes outstanding.

Over a year old and holding up like a champ. Loads of dark chocolate and dark fruit with a decent amount of carbonation and mouth coating.

Amo esta stout. Densidade petroleo. Espuma escura com alta carbonatacao. Deliciosa. Drinkability baixa.

(35 cl bottle from Systembolaget poured into a burgundy wine glass; BBD: June 1st 2015) Pours pitch black with deep toffee two finger head of pearly particles. Good retention and beautiful lace. Aroma is dark and roasted with notes of molasses and coffee. Oily texture, full body, soft carbonation and a long, dry bordering on astringent finish. Quite a sipper that is not eager to please.

330 ml bottle at home. Black color with very nice brown head that lasts. Aroma is roasted malty, chocolate, hoppy at the end. Taste is the same, roasted, light sweet, dark chocolate and coffee, a little bit spicy and then it becomes bitter, coffee bitterness and hoppy bitterness. Almost full body, oily feel, soft carbonation, nice long bitter aftertaste.
