COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great Divideís Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yetiís hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Pours like motor oil with a two finger foamy kakhi head which lingers for a while. Aroma is amazing and is of deep roasted malts, espresso, bakers chocolate, burnt toffee and caramel, and some cherries. Taste is malty at first with tons of roasted malts, bakers coco, bitter espresso, molasses, burnt caramel, and then the hops hit with bitter citrus and pine on the back end. Has a full body with a super creamy, oily mouthfeel, a dry, roasty, and bitter, hoppy finish. overall, a excellent imperial stout that definitely underrated.

Strong coffee with dark chocolate and big roasted malt aroma. Taste is coffee and roasty malts initially; then plum, hops, and chocolate.

Bottled August 10th 2009 Dark as hell with a thick brown head that disipates quickly, aroma of chocolate and cardboard. Taste is a bit tart up front but quickly turns to chocolate and dark fruits. Nice viscous mouth feel. Over it has held up nicely for a 6 year old.

This was a strong smelling imperial stout. It tasted pretty smooth at first but as I continued to drink it seemed to get more bitter. Overall I thought it was just ok.

Tap@rattlenhum,NYC. Opaque black color with a brown head. Aroma has licorice, smoke, coffee, roasted malt. Taste is malty sweet but ends with a bitter and dry long aftertaste. Flavors of licorice, coffee, roasted malt, ash, dark chocolate and ripe fruits. Very intense in flavors.

Bottle. Shit how the hell have I never rated this? Anyhow, appearance is thick motor oil with dense mocha head, great looking stuff. Aroma is ash, coffee, roasted malts, and anise. Taste is thick coffee, ash, and roasted malts. Finishes with burnt coffee roast and ainse, full bodied, nice carb. A real classic for the style, great stuff.

Draft at Good Dog. Pitch black pour with light brown foam. Lots of lace. Have had many times before but finally rating. Deep rich complicated black chocolate brew with interesting liquorice root elements. Creamy body. Strong coffee. Charcoal grill. Black leather. Glossy anise. Burnt charcoal. Lots of great dark flavors. Suppose chocolate rules over all but tons of rich peaty elements are also in the mix. Boozy enough to be felt but not to shy away from. Not to be overlooked!

Great beer. A looker too. Inviting black with mocha head. Huge espresso and oaky booze on the nose. Taste is a great balance of coffee, chocolate, smoke, booze and a great bitter piney finish. Never fails

Draft. My new all-time favorite beer. I will have to re-calibrate my ratings, to accommodate this beer. A dense, sweet, complex mixture of coffee, chocolate, and malt flavor. Intense flavors. Slightly astringent finish, buffered by the overriding sweet flavors and aromas. Will give a 4.9 overall rating, to accommodate an as-yet un-tasted more perfect beer.

Not too often you get a beer sporting an overall rating of 100, guess thatís why I had this fella brought up from Buffalo. My first great divide. Yeti or not... poured and inky dank black with a sheet of mud-brown head. Nose lots of deeply roasted malts, sweet chocolate and a little coffee. The sweetness takes a step back on the taste, lots of roasted malts that are a touch burnt, but not unpleasant. Coffee, chocolate and a decent balance with the bitter and the sweet. Excellent brew.
