Commercial Description:
Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti's hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Dark black pour with a thick very dark brown head. Scent has coffee, vanilla and chocolate notes shining through. All the above plus some caramel present themselves in the flavor, along with a noticeable alchohol bite. Smoky and dry roasted finish make this one outstanding. I think this might be better than the oak aged version.

Bottle, had this at a tasting last night and it blew me away but did not finish that well overall with the rest of the tasters and I have to disagree! Nice dark body and creamy head. Aroma of Roasted nuts and Chocolate and coffee and malt goodness! It has some hops in the taste but it didn’t turn me off and I don’t like a ton of hops. Very smooth for an imperial stout. very think all around in taste and palate. this is not one to be downed quickly and good luck drinking more than one. Drink this if you want a nice stout to snack on.

Dark, with dark creamy head, great balance, lots of chocolate and coffee overtones, helped to balance the hops. Good.

Bottle from Bottle Trek in Eugene, OR. Poured a dark brown almost black. Could definatley taste the hops which gave it a bitter finish. Chocolate and coffee were the primary flavors. All in all a very good beer.

Bottle shipped from Oregon. This brew poured a deep brown/black with good-sized head. The aroma was of coffee and chocolate, and the flavor was consistent. This one had a hint of hops at the end, which kept the palate score from perfect. It’s a little thinner in flavor and palate than Alesmith Speedway, but still very good.

The beer pours a deep black with a thick brown creamy head that has great lacing. The nose is a mix of roasted malts, bitter sweet chocolate and coffee. The taste is a deep rich mix of roasted malts, burnt sugar, bitter chocolate and dark fruit. The mouth feel is a lot of carbonation on the tip of the tongue and a watery mouth feel in the middle, The finish is a light bitterness that is medium lasting. Goes great we smoked cheddar.
