COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Great Divide’s Yeti Imperial Stout is an onslaught of the senses. An almost viscous, inky-black brew, Yeti opens with a massive, roasty, chocolate, coffee malt flavor that eventually gives way to rich toffee and burnt caramel notes. Packed with an enormous quantity of American hops, Yeti’s hop profile reveals a slightly citrusy, piney, and wonderfully dry hoppy finish. 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Oily black stout. The initial stout flavours are quickly blown out of the water by the massive hoppyness! Drinkable and warming though!

Poured from a growler as dark, black, and opaque as any beer I have seen. A nice brown head with a red tinge boiled over my glass. Strong, sweet roasted aroma. Weighty on the tongue with sweet boozy chocolate flavor then whisked away by bitterness and coffee finish.

355 ml bottle from Systembolaget Passagen, Stockholm.
Pitch black, oily body, with a medium, dense, creamy, tan head.
Aroma of coffee, wood, dark chocolate, earth, dark fruits.
Taste with the same aromas, some more vanilla and surprising amounts of citric hops.
Full, creamy mouthfeel, with a quite lively carbonation.
Finishes warm, roasty, dry, wooden, with bitter chocolate and bitter, citric hops again.

Very tasty! One of the hoppiest Imperial Stouts I’ve had so far, about in the middle of the way to a Black IPA, while the massive, complex dark malts clearly dominate of course. Pretty heavy, but still quite smooth to drink, overall greatly balanced! Not among my favourite beers of this style, but a great one I would gladly drink again.

On tap at Dog and Cask. Mocha and malt in aroma. Stout black with dark tan head. Flavors of cocoa, coffee, toffee, vanilla and hops. Alcohol is as expected for an imperial. Well done.

Bottle from rickfifty, shared at his place. Pours pitch black. Brown head with some grey. Coffee, licorice, alcohol, some plum, some sugar nose. Fruit, espresso, apple, roasted malt, plum, dark chocolate, alcohol, some vanilla flavour. Very bitter. Some sweetness if served quite warm. Thick to medium body. Quite oily. Soft carbonation. Warming. Needs to be served almost room tempered. A bit transparent when it comes to hiding the alcohol.

On tap. Pours pitch black with a two-finger impressively dark brown dense head. Aroma of malt and dark chocolate. Taste is of roasted malts, dark chocolate, espresso, hops and licorice. Long dry and bitter finish. Soft carbonation and a full and oily body. Very smooth, very intense...and very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at BrewDog Manchester. Black with a rich brown head. Plenty of dark chocolate, coffee, molasses, and a healthy dose of hops, making the whole thing more bitter than sweet. Bit of a meaty, umami character too. Clean, thick mouthfeel with a slight lingering stickiness. Been waiting a while for a sighting of the yeti and it was worth the wait.

Aroma of coffee, roasted malts and dark chocolates. The taste is like your favorite leather chair mixed with fluids twisted from a baristas shirt after 10 hours of work. I love it!
