Cask at NWAF 2009. A hazy brown beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and chocolate, as well as lighter notes of coffee. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted finish.

GBBF. Cask. Clear dark brown beer. Softish and dry palate. Slightly odd flavour profile. Soft cocoa chocolate and a tiny streak of smoke. There is also a whiff of sulphur around the hops that detracts a fair bit. Finishes dry with more cocoa and some orangey hop.

Cask (GBBF2011, Wed)
Dark, and with a tight beige head - beautiful. Super chocolatey aroma, mellow rich roast. Ditto the taste. Very full and succulent palate. Chocolatey roast is delicious, the roast has no harsh aspects at all. Perfect strong mind.
