3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask conditioned at The Crown, Oxford. Gold with white head. There is a perfumed note right from the start of this, I wouldn’t have picked out Citra as the hop, I didn’t get the Grapefruit / citric notes it was more astringent and chemical than that. However it was a reasonable beer, good and light with a slight fizz on the palate. Ok.

Cask @ Shrewsbury Beer Festival 2013. Some grapefruit and lemon juice coming through but seems overshadowed by its bitterness.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask at Craven Arms, Brum. Yuuuuum. Crisp, cat-pissy flavour, which hints at citricity and delivers. And also delivers sticky errrrrrrrrrrrr beer hop pleazir. Like a lot. Super easy to guzzle. Ja.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask at Friends of Ham. Pours a clear yellow, small head. Aroma is lemon, a little melon, some honey and a tiny bit of cats piss. Taste is good - soft lemon, honey (strepsils, but in a good way?), a little salad. Quite bitter. Thin-medium body, which lets it down a little. Really nice to try a lower ABV citra beer after so many uber-hopped juggernauts.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask at the Craven, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear light amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is hoppy and unmistakably Citra. The flavour is medium bitter, malty and the Citra is there, but it’s not as evident as it was in the aroma. The bitterness was strong in the palate and stuck around forever in the aftertaste. There was a hint of the Citra spice on the palate, but not quite enough for me. There are other single hop Citra’s that float my boat more than this one.
