Aroma: average citrus, grapefruit, orange hops. Appearance: clear dark yellow, average frothy white head. Taste: light sweet and bitter. Palate: light body, thin texture, soft carbonation, bitter average-long finish. Overall: very nice Golden Ale, all sorts of citrus aromas. Pint at the GBBF 2014, Kensington.

Sampled @ GBBF day 3. Clear yellow to golden color, small white head. Slightly unclear golden color, small white head. Aroma is very citrussy to the point that it’s almost dishwasher water. Taste hops, citra, citrussy, lightly hay, decently bitter. Average body and carbonation. Not really balanced imo.

Cask. Yellow, clear, small foamy white head. Aroma is a decent whack of citra hop, background grapefruit and lime. Body is light, slightly foamy. Taste has ash, gooseberry, soft herbal bitterness. The citra hops seem a little tired but it’s decent.

Bottle consumed at Cropredy ’Fairports Annual Reunion’ Festival, Cropredy, Oxon, Friday 8th August 2014 Pours warm gold white filmy head. Buttery nose, buttery in mouth, I like Great Heck but this is not one of their best, a butterbomb with just a little hoppiness. As I said I am a fan of Great Heck so I must look out for another bottle of this. A6 A4 T4 P2 Ov10 2.6

Clear amber with a small white head. Aroma of zest and grain. Clean flavours of citrus, a little honey, light malt, slightly floral. The citra comes through well in the shape of strong grapefruit flavours and a really solid bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Moderate and fine carbonation gives a pretty smooth mouthfeel. Really enjoyable.
