wimpyjoe (4424) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - APR 10, 2014
Cask @ Brewery Tap, Leeds. Black with a creamy off-white head. It has a mild roasted aroma but not very stated in its taste for a stout with a very wheat and malt based taste.

Guy Fawkes, York 26 Jan 13. Husøl. Kjempemørk / rubinrød. Nesten svart. Lavt - litt farget skum. God sjokoladearoma. Smaken er kaffe/lakris/sjokolade. Litt metallisk. Antydning til plommer i ettersmaken. Litt tungdrikkelig.

Cask at EBF XVI, listed as ’treason porter’ but googling suggest this is the beer, 07/11/13. Very dark mshogony brown with a moderate beige covering. Nose is dark fruits, light smoke, toffee. Taste comprises tangy fruits, treacle toffee, brown sugar, slightly lactic edge. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish with light roast. Ok stuff - nothing I’d be rushing back to mind!

BeerViking (2692) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 9, 2013
Cask/gravity at the Egham beer festival 2013, deep dark red-black with a clinging off-white head, treacle toffee and grassy hops on on the nose, full bodied and creamy, clean yet complex, big treacle note with touches of chocolate and citrus, the fruity almost blackcurrant sweetness is very well balanced by the dry ashy bitterness. Super stuff!

Cask @ Blue Blazer, Edinburgh [270713]
Very dark ruby brown, clear, dense tan head
Aroma of dark fruits, no roast, just rich dark jammy fruits, blackcurrants
Taste - Very fruity, blackcurrants, some soft roasted malts, slight spicy note, dark caramel
Palate - Medium to light body, bit aerated, sticky. Finish - rather dry, roasted malt coming through more in the linger
Overall - Very fruity stout with not much roast - it’s nice enough

Rune (8500) - Tromsø, NORWAY - FEB 19, 2013
House beer at Guy Fawkes Inn, half pint, cask ale. Rosewood coloured body. Fawn-coloured head, satisfying lacework. Modest smoked malts to the nose with notes of chocolate. Comprehensive taste profile of grainy chocolate and caramel joined by dark fruits. Rounded bittersweet ending. Nice (York, 26.01.2013).
