Clear medium to dark brown color with a small to average, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, roasted, coffee, dusty. Cask @ GBBF 2009. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a slightly roasted malty caramel aroma with some hints of chocoalte. Has a toasted malty chooclate flavor with hints of caramel. Fruity malty slightly toasted caramel finish.

Dark brown color, small off-white head. Toffeish aroma with hints of coffee and diacetyl. Flavor is coffee and crystal sugar. Watery finish. Light hops in the aftertaste. A bit odd.

Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Dark brown to chestnut with slight head. Dry, pretty malty beer, quite smooth with a chocolate overtone. Some bitterness, lacks some depth though. It’s reasonable.

Cask conditioned handpump Duck & Drake Leeds. A dark brown to mahogany coloured beer with a sparkled whitish head and copious lace. A dry nutty malty beer. Notes of chocolate and licorice. Coffee also. A thick chewy texture. Nice enough.
