Cask (GBBF2010)
7 Light, slightly gingery, some fruity hops.
2 Pale gold, brief head.
6 Slightly vegetal. but not too offensive.
2 Thin. Finish a bit vegetal.
11 Quaffable if desperate, but has too many flaws.

On cask at Cloisters, Pours a light golden colour with a thick white head. A very yeasty aroma with some caramel malt also. Similar flavours with grassy hops to finish. Mildly bitter with moderate carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel.

Cask gravity, Leicester BF, 09/03/12. Dank citrus, dishcloth aroma. Shining straw, loose top. Well-squeezed pithy grapefruit, black Darjeeling flavour with some honeying balance, but not much. Lean and punching, uncomplicated, stripped of malt sweetness. Bitter linger, dab of quinine, neat cordial. A welcome, lifting smack in the face. Beer of The Day So Far....

lovely clear pale straw with a very dense tight white head. very mild floral hop aroma. high bitterness. seemed quite unbalanced. cask. Old Bell. Harrogate

Cask at GBBF 2011. Pale golden, no head. Hoppy, somewhat strange aroma. Fruity flavor, some grapes, some hops. Spicy finish.

Cask at GBBF 2010. A hazy yellow beer with no head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and citrus fruits, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2010, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.

Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate hoppy, citrus, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100804]

On Tap At The Royal Oak: Crushed petals and perfume nose. Flavourless body, watery and slightly dirty witha dry finish. Ugh.

Cask at GBBF 2010, 5th Aug 2010. Bright gold. Very citrus nose with a hint of cheesy feet. Quite refreshing and light on the tongue. Run of the mill golden ale.

(Cask at GBBF London Earl’s Court, 4 Aug 2010) Golden colour with brief, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, grass and fresh, floral hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of lemon and grassy, floral hops. Fairly thin on the malt side. Light body, rather dry. Possibly not remarkable, but highly drinkable and refreshing.

Cask Handpump at the GBBF, Earl’s Court 04/08/2010 Pale fruit aroma. Clear golden coloured hoppy and pale with some citrus flavour. A hint of bitterness in a dry and slightly grainy malt finish.
