Cask in the White Swan, Stokesley. A golden ale with a white head. An impressive beer for the ABV. Very bitter and hoppy. A caramel base with resinous notes from the hops. Refreshing and pretty good.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On cask @ Cloisters.
Appearance - lemon to golden with a nice head and some haze.
Nose - pale malt and lemon.
Taste - more of the same. Maybe some honey too.
Palate - light bodied with a dry if creamy texture and a long dry finish.
Overall - a good example of a Golden Ale, if stretching the bitterness to an extreme.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at The Hope & Anchor, Spitalfields, Saturday 19th April 2014 Served in a lovely dimpled half pint glass. Pours gold perhaps light gold with a smattering of bubbles. Crisp, dry and fruity and bloody lovely for the abv. I get a pleasant pithiness, its a very good low abv beer but I think its 3.6% not 3.2%. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Cask handpull, Barley Mow, Bristol, 19/01/14. Scant-headed pale gold. Nose a top sweaty stew of grapefruit and greenery. Flavour offers lemongrass and flowers; boiled lemon sweet, saison-like yeast and herb. Plenty of interest at the diminutive ABV.
