Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. High volume but it’s not overly evident with plenty of fruits abundant in both aroma and taste.

Cask at The Old Black Bull. Beer of the night by some margin. Lots of juicy grapefruit and pine on the nose. Lots of bitterness in the taste, but with a solid caramel/toffee backdrop. Very enjoyable.

Light amber w bubbly head. Smells like a lot of American hops. Tastes like a lot if US hops, and chewy sticky crystal malt foolishness. Not much character - too sticky and the alcohol is quite assertive in the finish. 3 6 6 3 11

Cask conditioned at The Lamb & Flag, Oxford. Amber with white head. This was quite a fruity, plummy beer, the alcohol shows through quite significantly, a little fiery, nasal. Quite sweet, fructose on the palate. Quite challenging but ok.

Slightly musty quality to this one. Plenty of malt and a good bitter finish. Woody and earthy. Decent if not one of my favourites.

Bottle - clear amber colour with thin cream head. Aroma of piney hops, underlying malts. Bitter earthy taste, alcohol quite pronounced, a bit rough really. Sweet malts, long bitter finish. Disappointing.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is rich hop and woody. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a hop spicy, slightly alcoholic palate and a short bitter finish. This took me by surprise initially but grew on me eventually.
