Had this at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, Tuesday 12th November 2013 Pours copper in colour, clear as a mountain stream with a slim white head. Floral and also vanilla in mouth, soft in mouth, bit sweet. There is a steady bitterness but it also has a creamy vanilla custardy type fkavour, ok. A6 A5 T6 P3 Ov12 3.2

Cask at the CAMRA York Beer and Cider Festival, 21.9.2013. Clear dark golden with foam and bubbles. Hops, diluted honey, floral aroma, mildly bitter, a little grassy taste. Medium body, a little carbonated, bitter finish. Nice.

Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Orange amber with white head. Fruity malts to the fore in this one, bready then peachy in nature. Maybe a touch of earthy, twiggy hop, but its mostly about the malt. Reasonable.

Scopey (5557) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 26, 2013
Cask at Lyric soho (as navigator, 3.9%). It pours clear amber with a thick beige head. The nose is earth, wood, leather, toast and brown bread. The taste is earth, wood, toast, rather high bitterness (esp. given the style), leather, resin and subtle dried fruit with a dry, bitter finish. Light-medium body and soft carbonation. I imagine this has undergone a bit of a recipe tweak since other reviews i.e. more hops! Nice hopped-up bitter.

Cask. Deep orangeish amber colour with a small off-white fluffy head. Aroma is fruity and floral notes with some mild wooden notes. Flavour is bitter fruity and floral with some hints of berries and caramel and toffee. Wooden and floral hoppyness in the finish. Quite mouthdrying.

Cask (gravity dispense) at the Bricklayers Arms Yorkshire Beer Festival on 23 February 2011. Dark amber colour. I found this more malty than hoppy. Quite mellow mouthfeel although there’s some late citric hop and bitterness. Easygoing and easy-drinking. Solid enough but didn’t leave much of an impression to be honest

Leighton (9878) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 24, 2011
Gravity cask at Bricklayer’s Arms BF, 2011. Rich gold pour with a slight, filmy head. Toasty malts on the nose with light fruits and some pine and faint citrus hops. Nice flavor, light to medium sweet with toast, mild straw, earth and fruity bitterness. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Pleasant finish, defined by its fruitiness, with some slightly sticky bitters. Very good beer.

[on cask @ RBESG 2009] Fresh, spicy floral hops aroma with gentle caramel/toffee. Almost clear orangey-copper with a few bubbles on top. Dry, thin, watery bitter flavour with some caramel/toffee. Light body, low to moderate carbonation, slightly bitter finish.
