Draft at Stouts Pub. Dark brown pour with a slight white head, some lacing here. Roasted malt nose, full body and nice balance between some subtle smoked malt and robust hop profile, some bitterness in the finish. Well done.

On tap at a beer festival - high quality brew with the normal style attributes you’d expect in a baltic.

Fruity malty aroma. Dark opaque brown color. Toast, caramel, dark fruity taste. Finished very smooth.

Pint at Great Lakes on 1/21/13. Dark brown pour with a thick beige head. Malty and chocolatey nose with some roasted malt. Malty and chocolatey flavor with a roasty coffee finish.

On tap at the Muddy Pig (St. Paul, Minnesota, 20/2/13)
Dark brown with a slightly off-white head. Salt and roast in the aroma. Taste is a bit sweet and a bit bitter. Pretty typical for the style, if not a bit more heavy. Medium-bodied and warm on the tongue. Great for Fulton, but maybe a little underwhelming for Great Lakes. Still, I love Baltic porters, and I’m pretty happy to see more local breweries working with the style.

Tap. Collaboration beer between Great Lakes and Fulton - available on tap in the Mpls market now. Bartender says it was brewed at Great Lakes. Dark brown pour, almost black, with a creamy tan head. Roasty and sweet, smooth palate that isn’t too dense. Pretty solid.
