1.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
What a description, will not make me like it any better. On tap at the madmex. stronger sweet volatile aroma. looks like clear pale ale. Taste is alky strong, wew, even for a 9%. Does not hide the alky trying to get in yer face. Long bitter medicinal finsh, terribly on style.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours deep copper with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of piney, resinous, and citrusy hops with some caramel malts plus a little dough and bubble gum. Flavor the same with a nice blend of everything and a good amount of hops. Smooth texture. A really good beer.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Iím still relatively new to drinking craft beer so rating them is tough, but out of all of the beers Iíve had (and Iíve had a bunch over the past two months or so) this one is definitely my favorite. Scores well in all four categories and especially overall.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Justin. Aroma and flavor of these fruity and tropical hops...not bitter in the least and just the way I like IPAs. Palate is clean, but there's enough stickiness to keep your attention there. Carb is good; lacing is present, very little head. There is a definite sweetness present here, but nothing like Hopslam...sorta a mix between that and the Younger honestly. Color me impressed...like everything else from Great Lakes that ISN'T aged in a barrel. Excellent beer.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy copper body with a small frothy off-white head that retained pretty well and left some thick lacing. The aroma is a mix of good and bad for me. Thereís plenty of citrusy and resiny hoppiness, but you can also smell a really heavy caramel malt sweetness under them that turns me off a bit. The flavor bears out my estimate of it based on the nose. The hops are actually a bit less aggressive than I was expecting, perhaps blunted a bit by the overly sweet malt base. It tastes like they dumped a few packets of Sugar in the Raw in the bottle. The alcohol is pretty noticeable, especially on the finish. Mouthfeel is thick and chewy with a bit of stickiness and soft fizzy carbonation. Canít say that I dig this one too much. I really just prefer a boatload of hops and a minimal malt influence in a DIPA.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. Pours medium orange with a small, beige head. A juicy citrus and tropical fruit aroma with some biscuit malts and a hint of florals. Hoppy tropical fruit and citrus flavor with some floral notes. Almost perfectly balanced by some biscuit and caramel malt flavors. Great fresh hop finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Few weeks young
A: Vibrant blood orange, crystal clear. The head is minimal - looks like a huge triple/BA beer.
S: Very interesting and unique, must be the mosaic hops. Very ripe light-colored tropical fruits and honey. Fruit-concentrate astringency. Orange, mango, honeydew melon. Very floral and herbal, lavender-like spices, and lemon grass. Though interesting, not incredible.
T: Very unique, like the aroma, but seems to work better. Ripe tropical fruits, honey, floral and herbal - the nuances are more difficult to identify. Not very bitter, honey sweetness - dry.
P: Medium, pretty standard DIPA feel and carbonation.
O: Very interesting beer, but not one I would buy again. Really well brewed and balanced, but not my cup of tea. Really glad I tried it

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Exactly how I like the DIPAS, lots of great fruit, floral, and well balanced. Hop flavors blend nicely and arnít overly harsh. Alcohol is pretty noticeable and everything is pretty big when drinking this beer. Starting to stock my fridge with a little more lagers for summer but this one is a great nice big and tasty one before it gets real warm. Well done, one of my favorite double IPAs.
