3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Lots of bite, hits those nerves in the jaw behind the ears. Smooth going in, and kicks as it finishes. Smells very mild compared to how it hits the palate. I would definitely take this beer on a second date.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz. bottle to snifter. Pours somewhat clear amber orange with a nice tight soapy off white head that settles to a film collar and lacing. Aroma has resinous grapefruit lemon rind and floral hops and spice with caramel malt undertones. Taste is bitter resinous hops with grapefruit lemon rind floral and spice with sweet malt and warming finish. Palate is full slick somewhat sticky and dry. Pretty nice!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Fresh bottle from Samís Quik Shop in Durham. Pours a deep orange, getting close to red, slightly hazy with a light beige head. Good lacing and decent retention. Nose of tangerine and orange rind, grapefruit, resin, honey, slight sweet tea. Taste is definitely sweet, but it works well while fresh. Canít imagine this tastes all that good after a month.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Poured a wonderful golden orange colour with a diminishing head (may have been the fault of my glassware). Wonderful citra hops aroma with hints of grapefruit. Wonderful bitter, hoppy flavour with a stronger lingering aftertaste. Would love for this to be a regular brew from them!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle. First of all, pretty damn good price point for a 9.4% IPA from a reputable brewery. 10 bucks for a 4 pack? Itís not quite Lagunitas Sucks good pricing, but Iím not complaining. Anywho, this brew pours a pretty clear copper orange with small white head that dissipates quickly. Nose brings big sweet tangerine, lemon syrup, peach, hints of spruce. Flavor maintains the sweetness with good nectar fruit presence, some malt body, and lots of candied orange. Impressively drinkable, medium bodied with slightly spritzy carbonation. Pretty damn good.

Good, not great. Pretty much a middle of the road beer, in a category where I expect excellence in trade for the massive alcohol.

bottle. deep golden with small head. reminds me a bit of hopslam, but not as intense (and not quite as good, but thatís a tough act to follow). nonetheless, very tasty with tropical fruit in the hops. light booziness.
