355cl bottle in a trade thanks a lot to matt! shared it with a good friend. poured a black colour with no real head. aromaís of chocolate, oak, vanilla, sweet bourbon notes, hazlenuts, toffee, roasted malt notes, great balanced sweet bourbon flavours. it itís defenetly not the best BA stout in itís style. weak body, and a bit of a watery mouthfeel and aftertaste. should be a lot more thicker with some more abv.

Pour is dark brown with a tight toffee colored head. Nose is light bourbon and wood, fair bit of sweet milk chocolate, hints of anise and chewy caramel. Taste has more wood, lots. Fairly forward bourbon notes, lots of rich milk chocolate and some sweeter caramel type malt. Full bodied, thick and creamy with strong carbonation and some alcohol burn through the finish. Heavy on the bourbon and wood side.

This was a 2014 iteration. Poured a muddy brown with a thin dissapating head. Nose was bourbon, bitter chocolate, roasted malts, and tobacco. I soon as I drank it, the bourbon was front and center and dominated pretty much every thing else. It also had some roasted chocolate notes but primarily bourbon.

2012 vintage, bottle from alexisdad06, thanks man! Thick black pour, about one finger of nice mocha head. Aroma, oak, vanilla, coffee, lots of barrel, very nice. Taste, a bit thin on the mouthfeel, some oak, ash, vanilla, caramel and bourbon, plenty of roasted malts, finishes with a bit of ash at the throat. Overall, not bad, a bit thin but very nice overall.

Hereís one I just found the review notes on. I received this a variety of times through trades. Once this was poured into a pint glass, the other two times it was poured into a snifter. The smell seems to last a bit longer in the snifter. The appearance was a decent jet black color with a quickly dissipating less than a fingerís worth of white head into the body. There was barely any lacing. The smell was a super strong alcohol. It was so strong that I had to let it warm up a good half hour just to let it warm up to my senses. Once that happened there were some light vanilla and chocolate characteristics. The taste was mainly sweet and alcoholic hot. The aftertaste was hot, sweet and sticky leading into the same sort of finish. On the palate, this one was a sipper, thereís no ifís, andís or butís about it. This was meant to be sipped. The carbonation was pretty smooth as well. Overall, I say this was a pretty good Imperial Stout well worthy of having again, but next time, Iím gonna let it age a bit just to let some of the alcoholic strong qualities to fade a bit.

2012 Bottle thanks to Santa last year! Pours opaque black with a quickly dissipating small brown head that leaves decent lacing behind. Aroma is bourbon, chocolate, roasted malt, a bit burned. Flavor follows, medium sweet, medium bitter, roasty. bourbon forward, a bit hot and boozy, a touch of vanilla. Some astringency from the wood, a bit harsh actually. Finish has lingering bitterness and ABV heat. Edgy. Medium body.

Bottle from beernut. Pours black just small head. Aroma is mild bourbon and vanilla. Some roasted character too. Taste is a bit sweet at first, mix if the bourbon and vanilla. Then some roastiness hits. Coats the mouth more than the base beer. Also a bit more warming. Nice ba version if the beer.
