Pours a murky dark brown to black color with a massive two finger tan creamy head that settles slowly and laces the glass. Aroma is roasted and malty with notes of sweet chocolate, toffee, caramel, ripe dark fruit, molasses, anise and fainter hints of coffee. Flavor is sweet and malty with notes of dark and sweet chocolate, ripe dark fruit, toffee, molasses and hints of coffee, chocolate covered cherries and roasted malts. BBQ on the nose with dark roasted malts on the palate. In the finish i noticed a little dark fruits, black cherry, some black licorice and a smell that reminds me of Lambeau Field on game day.

Big taste of roasted or burnt malt with molasses, anise, and a light floral hop in the back. Fairly thin and not so robust, but nonetheless, a very good beer.
