Commercial Description:
A Russian Imperial Stout with a hearty malt body and bold hop flavor.
Named after the infamous "Blackout of 2003" that left the northeastern United States in complete darkness, but resulted in old-fashioned neighborhood porch parties and fun.
Available in February & March.

Thanks to Secret Santa crizay for this one, opened at 9 PM in honor of MJ. Poured pitch black with a decent head. Aroma was of chocolate and quite a bit of dark fruit, slight alchohol, nice. Flavor matched, with chocolate, a bit of roast, some undefined dark fruits. Quit enjoyable.

pours black with a solid one finger brown head. aroma is roasted malt and hops with bitter dark chocolate and coffee. has a medium to full body with good lacing and good carbonation for a stout. flavor is the same as aroma but stronger with a little of the 9% abv. descent on the nose but potent in the flavor and on the palate. has a little bite from the carbonation and the coffee lingers a while on the tongue. a pretty good impy stout.

Big thanks to DrBayern for this gem! Shared with pint sized - Black pour with a nice medium brown head in a snifter. Smell was a creamy chocolately coffee roast with almost a hint of peanut buttery creaminess...(maybe I’m just crazy) Such a nice, smooth roasty chocolate flavor, with a light but noticeable and pleasant alcohol flavor to it. A great mouthfeel and perfect carbonation level let it go down like smooth chocolate. Really a great beer, with an amazingly smooth light lingering aftertaste of fine bittersweet dark chocolate. A must try!

Huge thanks to Degarth for giving me this 12oz bottle sent south by crizay. Pours dark brown with a quarter inch mocha head. It has a Porter like aroma with burnt to roasted maltiness along with hints of alcohol and sweet caramelized malts. The taste has a big burnt maltiness up front that hits hard along with dark chocolate. The flavor becomes increasingly sweet toward midway with hints of caramel, toffee and sweet malts. Toward the finish the burnt malts return and carry the experience into the after taste. Solid tasting Imperial Stout.
