3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Had this one a few times but I guess I never got around to rating it. Pours a ístoutyí brownish-black, opaque with a medium espresso colored head that disappeared pretty quick, left okay lacing though. Nose is brown sugar, coffee, cocoa, dark roast, butterscotch, dried fruit (dates and raisins mainly). Mouth is big and medium sweet up front, then the roast kicks in, coffee, cocoa, some soot, vanilla, dried figs, then it rounds out with a lingering bitterness on the fade-away. Really nice as always.Cleveland ROCKS!

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Good, solid stout. Pours black as night, but has little to no lingering head. Rich and smooth with no overbearing astringency in the finish.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle in a pint glass. Pours a thin-ish ruby-black with a mocha head. Aroma is roast, coffee, toffee, and licorice. About what I expected. Taste pretty well follows the nose. A bit more coffee taste than I like, but not bad. It is very thin for a stout, though. Not my favorite stout.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Shared with EricTeusink and jrob21. On a day where incredible sours and barrel aged beers were popped, it was nice to go back to a super solid impy stout. Taste showed bitter coffee, bakerís chocolate with a sweet cocoa finish. I believe this was last yearís bottle, but I still got a decent hop kick. Some dark fruits poked out at well. Still the coffee was the most prevalent. Quite nice.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a dark black with a medium off-white head. Aroma at first whiff is all malt. Upon a second smell roasted coffee is dominant followed by a nice malt finish. Taste is on the roasted side with coffee notes in the middle, a hint of dark chocolate, and a nice malt finish with a hint of hops in the after taste. Palate has a slightly carbonated mouth feel with some smokey malts and a coffee and hop finish. A nice "sit-by-the-fire" style stout.

Pour is black. Taste is roasted malt coffee with just enough bite to make it work. This is one of my favorites. Second tasting made me realize that it could use a little more character.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a very solid stout. I think it would be excellent with a little age on it. A bit pricey.
