Draft. Pours a deep black color with little to no head. Aroma is sweet licorice with some sweet berries, vanilla, and vanilla notes. Dark chocolate taste with some coffee in the background. Sweet finish. Interesting stout, but very good.

Bottle to beer tulips. Black pour with a beige head. Semi-sweet chocolate, fruit, roast in the nose. Sweeter chocolate, vanilla, roast in the taste. Creamy mouthfeel with a bit of an earthy linger. Really awesome RIS. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle into a tulip glass. Pours black, no head at all. Aroma of dark fruit. A bit sweet for an RIS, but not too. Medium bodied, slick, but not oily and flat. Overall this was too fruity and sweet.

12 oz bottle. Pours black with tall, long lasting, creamy, brown head and nice lacing. Aroma is of roasted malt, toast, dark fruit, alcohol and coffee, some sourness. Body is full, creamy and smooth. Taste is of toasted malt, coffee, chocolate, brown sugar, dark fruit, herbal hops and unpleasant sourness. Something is very wrong with this bottle.

3/4/15. Bottle. Pours dark mahogany with quickly fading mocha head. Nice nose with roasted and dark fruit notes. Mouth is just the balance I like in a imperial stout. Big slightly boozy mouthfeel with lots of complex dark chocolate and coffee notes. Reminds me of Duck Rabbit Baltic porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle to glass liked much less than the barrel aged. Aroma is coffee and some dark fruits. Taste is similar with some bitterness. Drying chocolate. Don’t think this came together that well

Bottle pour opaque black with moderate tan head. Nose dark fruit, chocolate, slight mineral and earthy. Taste mild roast, then the dark fruit flavors. Mid palate light bitter and roast. Fruit flavors predominante over the roast flavors. Some roast in the finish. Very easy to drink. Thick mouth feel.

Very very good. Almost like drinking a smooth chocolate milk. I don't know what else to say. I'm half kicked in the ass. I'd certainly get it again ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A really nice stout. Would love to try the acclaimed barrel aged version of this. Pours black with rich mocha head. Aromas of meaty resin and smoke as well as sour cherry. Flavors are sweet lactose, sour cherry, a bit of campfire, and a nice balanced roasted malt finish. Great stuff.

Bottle. Black with a quick fading mocha head. Aroma and taste are mainly dark fruit with hints of fudge and roasted malts. The alcohol is very noticeable. Good, but I expected better. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
