3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mabel (4405) - Toronto, - JUL 9, 2010
[2899-20100530] Tap. Navel orange citrus aroma and strong wood notes. Slightly hazy, pale orange brown body with a quick bubbly head. Bitter wood shavings hops flavour has citrus zest and a strong chocolate-like powder component. Medium body seems a little washed out. Interesting to try, strange characteristics.

Sampled at Volo GLB tasting. Pours a solid amber with a decent enduring frothy off-white head. Aroma is full on citrus, fruity, with an evident malt back that works well in counter-point.. Taste is very bitter but the malt back is there to provide some balance. Finish is pleasingly bitter but bot overwhelming. Solid.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Sammy (6125) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 13, 2011
Cask at volo. Great citrus aroma, orange colour. A tart taste that becomes astringent and prevents drinkability a few sips in.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 blankboy (4454) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 23, 2010
Cask at Volo. Pours a cloudy golden-orange with an average size long-lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma is citrusy and quite hoppy along with more fruit, some yeast and sweet malt in the back. Hoppy, citrusy flavour with a finish that is quite bitter. Average bodied. A great IPA, well done!
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 pchiodo (27) - Barrie, CANADA - AUG 15, 2010
Another great beer by the boys at Great lakes. Using amarillo hops this beer surprises you with incredible hop flavour without a huge backbone of malt.

Pint on cask at Volo July 27 2010. Very cloudy orange-gold with a solid creamy-frothy off-white lasting head. Great aroma on this one - pungent and sharp floral/citrus bitterness, lemon zest, mildly fruity malt sweetness very respectfully keeping its distance. Simple taste, follows the nose with perhaps an initial hint of herbal soapiness - some alcohol, but decently balanced. Average body, a bit chewy, mild carbonation, just a medium linger to the bitterness - it’s well-crafted, it finishes quickly enough you keep reaching for the glass with dangerous frequency.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 DerWeg (1271) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 27, 2010
Well this is something new. CASK at Bar Volo. Hazy pale gold with creamy white foam. Great aromas of hops and some peachy sweetness. Taste bitter and yet rounded hop bite, some lemony notes, and a peppery spiciness seems to catch the back of the throat. Best one yet GL.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 jerc (5591) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 9, 2010
UPDATED: JUN 21, 2011 2011-07-20. Wow! This really pops with a lot more citrus than I remember. Did not take detailed notes, but l clearly need to revisit my rating in more detail looking at my previous rating. This was quite nice. +2 On tap at Brydens, Toronto
2010-05-30. Hazy golden orange, modest white head. 3+ Modest aroma of leafy green hops is relatively mild, but that is the dominant characteristic. 6+ Flavour is mild, light bitterness throughout, modest leafy hop character. Average palate. Needs more citrus for my own tastes, but I would try this again. 6+ Average palate. Cask, Blind Tasting at Volo, Toronto
