COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Audrey Hopburn Belgian IPA

Audrey was born in Belgium.
From an early age she took to the stage and began a relatively successful career. Soon, however, she left acting to pursue her dream - of becoming a fairly obvious beer pun.

Stemming from our Project X line, Tank Ten is a tickle trunk of tasty treats. This series is payback to our hard working brewers. We’ve reserved fermenting tank number ten for them and have given them the green light to brew whatever the heck they want. Bottoms up!

Draft - Lots of citrus, sweet fruit and some yeasty notes. Cloudy gold with a goos white head. Lemon, citrus, light tartness, and a hoppy bitterness that ends yeasty sweet. Decent.

Strong aroma with lots of biscuity malts and citrus hops that mix to a somewhat astringent tropical scent of papaya, pineapple, mango, etc. Fairly low carbonation, finish is surprisingly mellow.

Tap at barhop. Toronto. Pours a hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is sweet overripe tropical fruit and caramel, but it's fairly subtle. There's pine, light wood, wheat, marmalade, lemon, some grapefruit in the bitter finish. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fresh 473 ml can from the brewery. Cloudy golden colour with substantial white head, lacing. Well carbonated with lots of bubbles flying up from the bottom of the glass. The nose is complex, I get whiffs of Belgian yeast and herbs first, with pine resiny hops below. The taste is quite similar, a balanced blend of the two styles. Juicey and citrusy notes come through on the flavour as well. The bitterness is more aggressive than most Belgian IPA I’ve tried. Enjoyable.

A nice cloudy straw color with a thick white head. Definite citrus with pine undertones on the nose. Nice hoppiness on the palate with plenty of citrusy goodness. Zero bitterness detected.

On tap at Bar Volo, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of Belgian yeast, piney hops, and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is very dry, with notes of Belgian yeast, piney hops, and zesty biscuity malt with a tanginess. Nice balance of the Belgian and regular IPA notes. Great stuff.

Pours a cloudy golden orange with a large off white head that leaves great lace on the heads. Aroma is grass, spicy Belgian yeast, mild malty sweetness, caramel, and sweet citrus. Flavour is spicy Belgian yeast, citrus, grass, mild-med bitterness, and a dry finish. Not too fancy but really well balanced!

Thanks to cfrancis for this one. Pours a hazy yellowish gold with a frothy white head and lots of spotty lace on the glass. Aroma of spicy Belgian yeast, grassy hops, peppery phenols and fruity esters all in good balance. Taste is pepper, spicy Belgian yeast, grassy and earthy hops. Really nice balance of hops and malts with really good Belgian qualities. Excellent Belgian ipa.

poured into a tulip glass A - pours a cloudy orange colour with a nice thick two finger head. the head has a pretty decent retention and the lacing is excellent by the end of the drink S - smell is great right off the pour and slightly fades as its exposed to the air longer. nice citrus and floral smell with spices. the fruit smells like grapefruit to me and there is a definite hint of cloves in there. T - The hops and belgian yeast are very prominent in the taste and i absolutely love the way the taste of the grapefruit mixes with the bitterness of the beer. a great example for me of this style. there is just a great overall distribution of the different aspects in this beer. nothing is too overpowering for me. M - Its got a light body and great carbonation that stays throughout. one of my favourite parts of this beer is how it feels going down. very smooth and the aftertaste that slightly lingers there makes me licking my lips waiting for the next sip. O - this is one of the best beers ive tried in general this past summer. will be picking up more as soon as possible. i recommend it to anyone looking for something new or to anyone who loves the IPA styles. great beer from Great Lakes!
