3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
In short: A fruity-grassy blond IPA, clean but yeasty, low on malts, refreshing. Very enjoyable session beer.
How: Bottle 22oz, consumed fresh a few days after receiving the bottle from blankboy, thanks a lot Paul.
The look: Cloudy orange-blond body topped by a persistent small white head.
In long: The moderately hoppy noes has bright fruits (clementines, pineapples) as well as some wet grass, dried yellowed grass and floral notes. Most striking feature of the taste is how timid the malt bill is. Discreet dry wheaty crackers, a slightly sweet fruity flavour akin to breakfast juice (pineapples, clementines, apples). A clean bitterness of medium intensity that adds sun dried yellowed grass and dried countryside field flowers to the citrusy hops. I didn’t get the “Belgian” part of this beer described as a Belgian IPA by the brewery, yes it is yeasty but not particularly Belgian in nature, no more Belgian than any unfiltered yeasty “normal” IPA I’ve had. I usually don’t care much for yeasty IPAs with timid malts but somehow I really enjoyed this one, simple, clean, refreshing, bright, highly sessionnable. Audrey Hopburn, funny name, but if Great Lakes makes a wild ale and doesn’t call it Brett Pitt then I don’t understand their naming convention.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Bar Volo. Audrey Hopburn, love that name - A deep copper gold pour with a filmy head & good lacing. The nose is banana bread & light spice in the nose. It is full bodied with a soft mouthfeel giving an overall creamy funky fruity flavor - great.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft - Lots of citrus, sweet fruit and some yeasty notes. Cloudy gold with a goos white head. Lemon, citrus, light tartness, and a hoppy bitterness that ends yeasty sweet. Decent.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Strong aroma with lots of biscuity malts and citrus hops that mix to a somewhat astringent tropical scent of papaya, pineapple, mango, etc. Fairly low carbonation, finish is surprisingly mellow.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at barhop. Toronto. Pours a hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is sweet overripe tropical fruit and caramel, but it's fairly subtle. There's pine, light wood, wheat, marmalade, lemon, some grapefruit in the bitter finish. Good.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Fresh 473 ml can from the brewery. Cloudy golden colour with substantial white head, lacing. Well carbonated with lots of bubbles flying up from the bottom of the glass. The nose is complex, I get whiffs of Belgian yeast and herbs first, with pine resiny hops below. The taste is quite similar, a balanced blend of the two styles. Juicey and citrusy notes come through on the flavour as well. The bitterness is more aggressive than most Belgian IPA I’ve tried. Enjoyable.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A nice cloudy straw color with a thick white head.
Definite citrus with pine undertones on the nose.
Nice hoppiness on the palate with plenty of citrusy goodness. Zero bitterness detected.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Bar Volo, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of Belgian yeast, piney hops, and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is very dry, with notes of Belgian yeast, piney hops, and zesty biscuity malt with a tanginess. Nice balance of the Belgian and regular IPA notes. Great stuff.

Pours a cloudy golden orange with a large off white head that leaves great lace on the heads. Aroma is grass, spicy Belgian yeast, mild malty sweetness, caramel, and sweet citrus. Flavour is spicy Belgian yeast, citrus, grass, mild-med bitterness, and a dry finish. Not too fancy but really well balanced!
