It’s been said that “Canada is the only country in the world that knows how to live without an identity.” This beer doesn’t help much with that crisis. From the fiercely irresponsible stereotypical image on the front of the can to the distinctly American style of the beer inside it – we’ve really made a mess of things. What have we done? Sorry.

Can from my brother in law. He rules. One time he muled me back about $300 worth of danish beer, now he just mules me random canadian garbage. Awesome. Thanks Tompete! Smells like malt forward grape fruit juice. Similar flavor, a bit astringent, some aspirin. Bitter finish, not bad.

Nice citrus/pine hop bouquet with a good caramalt backbone, fruity bitter finish. Tried both can and draft, nice crisp, a solid Ontario APA.

CAN 473 ml from bunget. Hazy golden, white frothy head. Moderate intensity aroma of tropical fruit, sweet citrus, a bit of dank, some caramel. The taste starts sweet, somewhat empty in the middle, CO2, clean moderately bitter finish. Quite nice, a bit too sweet.

Pretty good APA. Very hoppy nose and on the flavor as well...maybe a bit much, but some malts came through as well.

Draft to pint glass at Grand Electric Grapefruit, pine and hops. Cloudy amber with a thin white head, long lasting head. Grapefruit and hops...well balanced malt. Interesting, but not great.

Was surprised to see I never rated this one. Has golden amber colour and shows some lacing. the aroma is only slightly malty and so those hoppy notes dominate, notes of citrus and grassy herbal. On the palate is hoppy bitter with a fast but bitter finis. Medium bodied and much tastier on cask than can, could use a bit more weight but overall not a bad brew.

Definitely one of Canada’s best pale ales. Despite this being labelled as "seasonal" I consider this their "standard brew" and it shows how strong they are at their craft. Does not have a hint of the taste of Etobicoke. Nicely hopped nicely balanced. Clap clap clap.
