COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s been said that “Canada is the only country in the world that knows how to live without an identity.” This beer doesn’t help much with that crisis. From the fiercely irresponsible stereotypical image on the front of the can to the distinctly American style of the beer inside it – we’ve really made a mess of things. What have we done? Sorry.

This has been one of my favorite beers since the very first time I tried it. Opened my eyes to a lot of other great Canadian pale ales. Great brew!

Pours a clear light copper colour with about a finger of white head. Right away I get aromas of apples, peaches, pine, honey and some floral notes. There are some interesting nuances in the aromas and flavours. The flavours are pine, honey, edible flowers and a hint of biscuit and malt. This has such a silky mouth feel it just glides down. This is a fabulous IPA and one of the best I’ve had in a while. I would put this one up there with Amsterdam’s Boneshaker and Muskoka’s Mad Tom. The fruit aromas and flavours are very pronounced and beautiful. The mouth feel is absolutely superb.

Interesting. I was not sure what to make of the name. I get that you are Crazy, mad, insane, ect and that makes it hoppy.... This is a nice pale ale session beer.

It’s now in cans. This is a well hopped beer with smooth aftertaste. The aroma is relatively mild for a pale ale, but the hops make a strong impression on the tongue.

473 mL Can. Deep gold body with a rich foamy and tenacious white head that leaves a set of foamy ribs on the side of the glass as it is sipped. Pungent resiny hops and a hint of grapefruit rind and a soupçon of spruce make up the aroma. Pale malts and resiny hops dominate in the flavor; resiny hops and grapefruit rind in the aftertaste and finish. A fine Canadian brew that I’ll ask for more of.

Pours a murky light orange with a big frothy white head that settles down nicely, leaving some lacing threads behind. Aromas are heavy on citrus fruits. Some orange peel, and hints of toffee. Mouthfeel is balanced between creamy and crisp, with some slight stickiness. Tastes are sweeter than I expected but pleasantly so with citrus up front and sweet malts dancing on the back of the tongue during the swallow. Overall I wasn’t expecting this to be as good as their Tank Ten offerings such as My Bitter Wife or Karma Citra, anticipating a more pedestrian beer, but Canuck was totally up to the challenge and held its own. Will add it to my short list of regularly available go-to beers.

Can @ benzai. Clear golden yellow with a medium to full sized white head. Smells hops, fresh, fruity, grapefruit, slightly grassy, nice. Tastes sweetish, hops, fresh, slightly malty. Light but very nice! Thin to medium body, sift carbo.
