COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s been said that “Canada is the only country in the world that knows how to live without an identity.” This beer doesn’t help much with that crisis. From the fiercely irresponsible stereotypical image on the front of the can to the distinctly American style of the beer inside it – we’ve really made a mess of things. What have we done? Sorry.

a can from the LCBO, must admit the new "art" can caught my eye. I know I have had this before but obviously forgot how good it was> pours a golden amber great head initial aroma is what beer is supposed to smell like, hoppy smokey, spicy, tasty. Overall very drinkable Pale Ale

Pours a hazy orange, with a large white head. Aroma has notes of orange peel, Malts, spice. Tasting notes include orange peel, resin, pine, and a nice bitter finish, most excellent.

Pithy grapefruit full bodied, decent bitterness, hazy gold, this is how all APAs should be made

UPDATED: JUL 25, 2011 [2751-20100207] Tap. Sweet sugary pancakes aroma. Clear, medium orange brown body with a long-lasting creamy white head and thick lacing. Bitter sugary hops flavour has a long bitter evergreen and grass hops finish. Medium-full body is very bitter. Wow, great body, great fresh bitter. Changes a bit as it warms: more wheatie sugars come out. Something clicked for me with this one. (7/4/9/4/15) 3.9

[3820B-20110710] Cask. Fresh orange hops aroma. Slightly hazy, orange brown body with a quick bubbly off-white head. Lovely bitter hoppy orange notes in the flavour with a long aftertaste. Medium body. Drinkable, sessionable, delicious! (8/3/8/4/15) 3.8

Another bomber from Great Lakes Brewing, and a Canadian tribute for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. Pours a rich golden colour with an off-white head that is fluffy, with decent retention and dry bubbly lacing. Great grain malt scent (I recognize the same malt found in Steam Whistle and some other pils) at first, and then, the hop appears. An awesome pairing of both. Silky smooth mouthfeel with a little stick in the end. Wicked bitterness the whole way which rules my mouth. Nice grain aftertaste with the hop always present. I really enjoy this brew and will buy some more for the Olympics. A superb pale ale. Great Lakes seems to be impressing more and more, every time they release a new offering.

UPDATED: MAR 21, 2012 Purchased at the LCBO. Pours a dark copper colour with a white head tat was about a finger and a half. Clumps of lacing. Aroma is a little pine and citrus as well. Taste is bitter same as aroma pine and citrus like a bitter grapefruit. Nice.

Can from jerc, thanks Jeremy. Pours clear orange, thick white head, gorgeous lacing. Nose is big citrus, fresh rank hop cones, and earthy creaminess. Flavours are nettly hops, with loads of citrus and spice, nice balance, well-rounded. A quality brew from Ontario, blow me over.

Smells like floral hops with some grapefruit, even grape. Colour is blond hazy, good lacing. Good head retention. Taste has more hops and fruitiness. Faint but not unpleasant sourness. This beer is wonderful - a great, original pale ale, so much more than the standard hops and malt standard. Among the better APAs I’ve tasted. On cask at Castro’s Lounge.

This is a wonderful find.. Picked up randomly at lcbo.. Similar to Brooklyn.. Strong hop flavour with only mild bitterness.. Lingering and crisp aftertaste good for any occasion.
