COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Devil Made Me Brew It! Brewed for 66.6 minutes with 666kg of malt and 6.6kg of hops, Devil’s Pale Ale is a robust ale weighing in at 6.6% alcohol (notice a theme yet?). Darker than traditional pale ales, Devil’s Pale Ale has an unmistakable hoppiness both in aroma and taste, balanced by a selection of 6 choice malts.

Dark burgundy-amber colour. Aroma of canned peaches, some caramel and tobacco. Light body. Some toffee notes, light smoke and earth. Esters of pear, golden plum. Interesting interpretation is nothing like a pale ale, but isn’t all that bad as a beer.

On Tap at C’est What, Toronto 14/11/2010 Big hop aroma. Amber coloured and hoppy with some alcohol present. A little cardboard taste. Dry and bitter malt finish.

Can from matt7215. Another exciting beer from this guy. Thanks again. Pours very dark amber with a 4-finger beige head. Aroma is darkly roasted malt. Medium body with frothy carbonation that laces. Flavor is nutty brown malt with some astringent hop. Don’t know that this is an APA. Seems more strong ale. Whatever. Finishes malty and bitter. Really, really tasty ale. IMHO, this is way underrated.

473ml can acquired in trade with Samm - thanks! Poured a deep orangish color that had kind of a reddish tint and a larger sized off white head. Slightlly hazy too. Aromas of toasted malts with lighter caramel and citrus. Tastes of the same overall toastiness with lighter caramel. Some lacing left on the glass.

A dark amber with brown hues and a thick light moka head. Aroma is very nutty, caramel, fudge, very enticing. In mouth, a bit too much in your faces, but good nutty malt, with sweet coffee moka, and some burned toast bitterness. None of the hops expected, i guess its covered by the malts. A good brown ale, but this isnt an APA. However, still a good beer. Bought at LCBO.

Tap at C’est What. Deep copper coloured brew, thick tan head. Aroma is quite nice. Softly sweet with notes of apricot, plums and cherries. A bit of nuttiness and a light kiss of licorice as well. The aroma is both subtle and complex at the same time. A little bit sweet with some light brown malts and a fairly fruity flavour. Soft palate. Low bitterness, but the beer is still fairly dry. Pretty decent for what it is.

Like a brown or scotch with molasses and licorice in nose. Lots of lace. On tap at Volo. Dry, with the above flavours plus caramel and hops kick into the finish. Dry in the aftertaste.

16 oz. can poured a clear brown with a lingering tan head. Aromas of carmel, molasses, light graininess and a hint of fruittiness. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel, molasses and light graininess with a crisp malty finish.

Can from jerc. What a surprise this beer was. Poured a nice dark amber color with a light head. Some malty and bready aromas give way to good hops. Flavor is very malty and has notes of apple cider...but it has a nice bitter kick. This is pretty good.
