COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Devil Made Me Brew It! Brewed for 66.6 minutes with 666kg of malt and 6.6kg of hops, Devil’s Pale Ale is a robust ale weighing in at 6.6% alcohol (notice a theme yet?). Darker than traditional pale ales, Devil’s Pale Ale has an unmistakable hoppiness both in aroma and taste, balanced by a selection of 6 choice malts.

473ml can. Pours a clear copper with a beige head. Aroma is heavy with juniper and pine, with some biscuit, floral notes, caramel, and wood. Taste is citrus hops up front followed by sweet malt, caramel, with woody grapefruit finish. Overall, a pretty decent offering and one I’ll buy again.

Evil goodness in a tall can. Pours cola dark with a finger cap. Bold & brisk. Gives the tongue a nice slap.

Can shared by Karol, thanks. Aroma hoppy, floral citrusy. Clear dark reddish brown colour. Taste has sweet wood (which annoys me in this beer), caramel malt. Then hops, light heavy bitterness. Citrusy flavour, grapefruit. I do not like the weird sweetness. Finish mostly hoppy, dry, light touch of alcohol.

Can from and shared with Karol, many thanks. Red brown color with medium off-white head. Malt, piney hops in aroma. Fruity taste with malt, piney hops. Strong bitter finish. Tasty.

Canned. For me the aroma is weak. However, the taste is bitter! Bitter as hell! Taste of malt, but not significant. Alcohol is present, but warming. Full body. Alcohol and hops aftertaste. I sense dark chocolate and espresso a bit. Overall tasty. My style of a pale ale.

Has some decent citrus hops but pretty ordinary session ale. Pours an odd dark maroon for style. No head no lacing on cask. Pretty heavy consistency. Aroma has a little malt but lots of hops sting. Finishes pretty bitter. Volos.

Great hoppy bitterness. Smells strong from the start, high alcohol helps it along. pours with decent head, good colour. 500ml can

Deep oak colour with a frothy white head and clinging lace. Smooth texture. Caramel malt, with a hop flavour. More hops come through with a bitter finish

Aroma: Very citrus with a lot of grapefruit and sub-notes of pepper and pine. Appearance: Very dark brown, almost black, with a beautiful creamy head, long lasting, with a superb lacing sticking on glass. Taste: Attack is very hoppy, with a lot of grapefruit. Bitterness remains for a long time. We can also find notes of pepper, hop resin, conifer and grass. Hops are sharp and effective, just the way I like them. Roasted malt is also adding wood accents to it. This is an excellent and very hoppy APA, even though the color is very dark and could also be called black IPA.

Pours a deep brassy red with a nice pillowy off-white head with good retention. Immediate nose of citrus/grapefruit and hops followed by some biscuity notes and malt sweetness. Taste follows with citrus up from, but also nice roasted flavours, some dried cherries and toffee and vanilla. Not over-the-top hops, but a nicely balanced pale with a smooth bitter finish.

This ones got a kick to it. It’s got more hops than a rabbit on speed. It looks bitter, tastes bitter, and smells bitter. It’s nice, but a bit much.

Can via trade with Andrew - thanks! Dark brown pour with a spotty off-white head. Floral, citrus, and resin on the nose. Palate might be a little light given what the appearance would suggest, but not bad. Mild bitter finish. Decent brew.
