473mL bottle: Nasal assault of sweet malts. Bubbly tan head on clear dark body. Flavor is very malty and sweet, almost like watered down molasses, bitter finish. Mouthfeel is rich and pleasant well balanced carbonation. Overall, it’s a nice guilty pleasure that I would recommend to beer enthusiasts only, but WTF??? Pale ale?? Guess it was the devil’s idea to get Great Lakes brewery to fool me into thinking this was a pale ale.

Jul 19, 2008 500ml can thanks to a friend. An IPA unlike it’s name. One of the better brews that the Great Lakes brewery has to offer us. Plenty of hops on the palate. Flavour is consistent in a semi-sweet and spicy grapefruit, with coriander and orange peel. Aroma is slightly ’bitter’ (if you can call it that) and sweet with a sour flowery scent. Good brew.

Jul 16, 2008 Canette de 473 ml achetée à la LCBO (Ottawa, ONT). Arôme: Odeur d’houblon et de caramel fruité. Apparence: La couleur est ambrée foncée. Présence d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de caramel et d’houblon avec une pointe d’apricot. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture huileuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Légère présence d’amertume d’houblon en arrière goût. (Rating #1807)

Jul 4, 2008 Supercan. Dark amber, moderate head. Caramel, earthy/dried leaves aroma. Fruity and earthy hop character with a caramel malt platform. This came across more as an english style pale ale, but nice nonetheless.
