2012-01-15. Black body with a nice brown head. 4++ Good amount of vanilla up front, it tastes like actual vanilla beans rather than extract. Sweet malt and light roast. Aroma is similar, nice vanilla character up front, sweet dark malt and muted roast. Smooth medium palate. Solid well made imperial stout but the vanilla continues to grow throughout and is a bit much for my own tastes by the end. On tap at Brewmarket, Toronto

UPDATED: MAY 23, 2012 Bottle sample at Everitt Brick Works. Great aromas of vanilla and bourbon, this is a big beer. The taste does not match that, its more wood and coconut and not so smooth, but drinkable. Black coloured with white head.

[4252-20120115] Tap. Multi-grain bread crusts aroma. Black body with a medium-lasting creamy brown head. Super sweet vanilla oak bean flavour is mostly roasted malt with burnt wood notes. Full body is very big. Tasty but boozy and bold. (7/4/8-/3~/16) 3.8
