probstk (1005), Nepean, Ontario, Canada Nov 1, 2009 341 ml bottle as part of a 6-pack from Pa (thanks!), served at cellar temperature in a Scotch Irish taster glass.
App.: Clear golden with a so-so white head.
Aroma: Some nice fruity, biscuity, toasty malts, a hint of hops?
Palate: Medium body, moderate carbonation, kinda smooth.
Flav.: Fairly fruity, still some nice biscuit malt; dry with a hint of bitterness and a pleasant light malt finish.
Not particularly interesting. Trev (850), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA Aug 28, 2009 Box said golden horseshoe blonde...
pale gold with a thiin quick white head.
Aroma is grainy malt, mown hay hop.
Flavour is light and clean, medium malt, some biscuity tones, light bitterness in the finish.
I can appreciate it for what it is. Bejaaamin (110), London, Ontario, Canada Aug 1, 2009 Blegh! Pale straw, thin head. Nose is weak, barely get nothing. Flavor is bland, nothing worth mentioning. How is this popular? Mediocrity for the masses. BostonFox (25), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Mar 8, 2009 Sorry to bore you with a brief trip down nostalgia lane here but we used to drink a lot of this beer in university. Keg fridge - cheap kegs. I used to like it then - don’t like it so much now but it gets extra points for the great memories (of lack thereof). Kegger!!!!!!!!!!!! DerWeg (748), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 25, 2009 Pale gold clear pour with soapy head. Smells of cooked grains and corn. Taste is sweet and follows smell. Slightly harsh industrial feel. It is much lacking. AWS9 (221), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Jan 25, 2009 Updated: Jan 31, 2009Bottle. Standard gold lager colour. Weak corn aroma that’s vaguely industrial... Simple grassy hops taste with some grain and vegetable. A little gross, but surprisingly drinkable at least. ILduce (133), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 24, 2008 Bottle: Straw colour with white diminishing head. Grain, corn and some malt in the nose. Watery, grainy, alcoholic...weak taste. Clean but papery mouthfeel. Not good. Slacks (480), Bolton, Ontario, Canada Dec 28, 2007 341ml Bottle: Provided fresh from the brewer at the Mobile Monday event in Toronto. Glasses weren’t provided so a proper "Appearance" rating isn’t possible, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say it poured pale yellow with some carbonation and little head. The aroma is heavy in grains and sweet malts, the flavour isn’t offensive in any way, but purely bland and lacking in any character. I get the "mass tastes" idea with something like this, but it just entirely lacks any reason for consumption.
