sukman69 (14), Canada Jan 11, 2006 So, they used to serve this tripe on tap at a local diner where the barteneder would show you her nipple piercings at the drop of a dime. It was slightly less expensive than the other beer on tap so we would drink it 2 jugs at a time. Light golden in appearance, much like the nipple piercings - whoreshoe brings back fond memories of large breasted bar maids. Thank you Great Lakes Brewing. Crockett (904), Steelback County, Ontario, Canada Jun 15, 2005 Predictably boring. Pours pale gold with a thin white head. Corn and grain aroma. Flavour virtually non-existant. Too much effort imitating the macros. MartinT (5030), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Apr 18, 2005 The Lure: Odorless yellowish water with a faint huskiness.
The Festivities: Extremely watery, vapid, but thankfully not infected. A few malt husks are felt, but I’m looking real hard here. Even the father-in-law thought it was boring.
Transcendence: I could hear my neighbor fart through the thin walls of my old apartment. can8ianben (903), Pasadena, California, USA Mar 18, 2005 Not bad, had it on tap in Tillsonburg, Ontario. It is a better alternative to Blue or Canadian, but that isn’t saying much. Lubiere (4463), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jan 31, 2005 Pale yellow lager with a collapseable white head. Chalky corny aroma. Tatstes like chalky Lakers light....damned, it is a Lakers clone, thus the name. Sorry to my Montreal brethren for giving them this swill. dirkules (613), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 30, 2004 I was expecting to get full pieces of barley from this brew after tasting it. Pretty gross. Ron (1002), Rochester, New York, USA Aug 12, 2004 Draft at the Flour City Brew Fest. Only thing in my notes on this was ’Not good’. jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 14, 2004 Draft. Pale macro yellow witha decent white head. Aroma is pretty light, as is the flavour profile. It’s actually a fairly clean lager albeit a fairly bland one as a result. Some pleasant hop bitterness is quick in its departure. Accomplishes what it sets out to do, and it’s not aiming for those of us set on a nice abbey ale. Not bad, just very mainstream and watery. Their Red Leaf has a bit more flavour to it.
