Oakes (8058), gone rambling, Vietnam Jun 20, 2002 Very mainstream, carbonic, grainy. Only in Ontario is it so difficult to tell what is a microbrew and what is not. MartinT (5030), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Apr 18, 2005 The Lure: Odorless yellowish water with a faint huskiness.
The Festivities: Extremely watery, vapid, but thankfully not infected. A few malt husks are felt, but I’m looking real hard here. Even the father-in-law thought it was boring.
Transcendence: I could hear my neighbor fart through the thin walls of my old apartment. JPDIPSO (4865), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Sep 20, 2003 Straw color with a initally tall white head that dissipates to only a few small bubbles. Light sweet simple sugar smell, slightly grassy. Dry light malt start and that's where the pleasantries end. Bitter, near sour corn flavor with a husky, bad alcohol finish. Egad! Lubiere (4463), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jan 31, 2005 Pale yellow lager with a collapseable white head. Chalky corny aroma. Tatstes like chalky Lakers light....damned, it is a Lakers clone, thus the name. Sorry to my Montreal brethren for giving them this swill. Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 30, 2006 Pale yellow, cheesy aroma. Astringent apple juice. Fizzy cabonation. Some lace. Sampled at LCBO Summerhill Festival. Corn, macro beer imitation, although with less preservatives. Light bodied.Unfinishable Radek Kliber (3930), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada Aug 17, 2003 Pale gold , small head . Some malt with decent level of hops . Drinkable , sweet . jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 14, 2004 Draft. Pale macro yellow witha decent white head. Aroma is pretty light, as is the flavour profile. It’s actually a fairly clean lager albeit a fairly bland one as a result. Some pleasant hop bitterness is quick in its departure. Accomplishes what it sets out to do, and it’s not aiming for those of us set on a nice abbey ale. Not bad, just very mainstream and watery. Their Red Leaf has a bit more flavour to it. CapFlu (3480), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Jun 22, 2003 (Draught) Lightly carbonated; gold with thin, white head. Yeast and malt nose - thin. Clean finish... hence the thin, watery taste.
