2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 HogTownHarry (5655) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, - AUG 9, 20108oz draught sample at Toronto Festival of Beers August 5, 2010. Clear light gold pour with a very large white frothy/foamy white head. Simple inoffensive aroma - somewhat sweet and grassy but not particularly bitter at all; clean. Taste is honey, grain and grass, nothing "hoppy" at all. Light-bodied, a little chewy, very mildly carbonated, and quick finishing - perhaps a hint of plastic in the after-taste. Simple.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 solidfunk (1831) - Ontario, CANADA - OCT 12, 2012
Indeed its golden. A little crisp, not bad for the style at all. High carbonation, some sharp malt. Made the trek all the way out to the brewery and a free sample of this was my reward.
0.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 kevinsenn (552) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 25, 2012
Sample at Great Lakes brewery. Doesn’t fit in with their other brrews. Very pale yellow, with a farm/hay aroma and taste. I can’t even recommend this for lagerboys.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 whitecap (283) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 16, 2012
On tap at the Absinthe (York University Winter’s College). Clear light yellow. minimal white head, aroma of corn and malt. minimal hops.... Extremely generic. What sets it (ever so slightly) apart is it has no offensive tastes....
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 northropfrye (1361) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - SEP 21, 2011
UPDATED: OCT 20, 2012 On tap at Ein Stein in Toronto. Crisp clear yellow colour. Damp grass aroma. Watery and yeasty flavour. Not a great lager.
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20 Metalchopz (1753) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 10, 2011
Originally rated November 2006. Bought a six-pack of this at the LCBO down south on Bank street in Ottawa. Kind of a weird lager. Pours a pale golden colour with a thin foamy white head that don’t stay long. No lacing, and carbonation is heavy with big bubbles. The nose is fruity, but also with a salad-like aroma. Thin-bodied and watery. The taste is different, but not as weird as the scent. Starts with a pear-apple flavour and ends with some grain malt. A very unique micro lager that is refreshing... and special.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Spab (1646) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 12, 2011
341 ml bottle from brewery. Pours a clear pale golden colour with quickly disappearing white head. Aroma is quite subdued, a little grain and honey sweetness. Taste is mellow but pleasant enough with fresh grains and a light honeyish sweetness. Light-medium body, light carbonation. Not much going on but its clean and drinkable.

On tap Touche Bistro, College Street Toronto. Pours straw yellow with thin white head. Mild grainy aroma. Light bodied, not much carbonation. Thin, somewhat sweet taste. Inoffensive.
4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 danmingo (25) - Alberta, CANADA - SEP 19, 2010
Very interesting lager. Not hoppy at all and a bit of sweetness. Much better than most lagers I’ve encountered.

341 mL bottle. Not a bad little beer. No off flavours. Can actually taste some hops. Mostly sweet, though. Seems, undercarbonated, for the style, but it’s not really a flaw here. Better than the macros.
