650ml bottle from the LCBO. I was able to try this beer because my wife wanted to buy it... not something I would normally be interested in. It was okay... definite green tea taste in the finish.

650ml bottle. Pours a pale golden yellow with a very thin quickly dissipating white head with no visible carbonation. Lovely bottle though. Aroma of what with a slight off note to it, citrus, tea, ginseng. Taste is similar to a specialty grain? Taste is minimal sweetness, light bitterness and the slightest sour note. carbonation is flat, abrupt finish. I’m a bit of a fan of tea-beers but this one was a disappointment.

Very pale pilsner golden colour. The aroma is light and a little bit of light herbal character. There is a little bit of light citrus and maybe a bit of sorachi citrusy character. It’s very light but it’s not characterless. I wouldn’t necessarily pick out either the green tea or the ginseng, but it’s a decent, refreshing brew.

I tried this beer on June 29, 2011 after purchasing from oine of my local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a translucent straw gold colour with a half inch white bubble head. The aroma was grainy malt, weak tea, and light fruits. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with mild carbonation. The flavour was grains, tea, and weak hops. The finish was not very bitter.

Bottle, 65cl, courtesy of Enjoyit. A hazy, golden beer with a small, off-white head. IPA-like aroma with pinecones and some lemon peel. Malty sweetness. The flavor is quite bitter and hoppy with citrus peel and grapefruit. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. Lasting, bitter finish with grapefruit and citrus peel. A quite nice one. Can’t really say I found the tea and ginseng in this one. 110129

Originally rated September 2009. Interesting blend for a beer. Pours a hazy copper-beige colour with a nice creamy white head that has good retention and lacing like a micro. Nicely carbonated too, with tiny bubbles that are consistent. Smells grainy at first, but then, turns into this beautiful sweet honey aroma and the herbal tea in the background. Semi-smooth, but mostly watery mouthfeel overall which not much bit in the finish. Nothing bad in the taste, but lacking a bit of punch. Wants to be sweet, but too watery and falls short, with a little green tea in the aftertaste. A nice idea, but lacing in the taste department.
